Chapter 27: Chapter 27 The Sword Sect is Out of Money, Don’t Mention Withdrawals (Please follow!)_1

Su Bei arrived at the mountain peak and, amidst the fawning flattery of the disciples, was led to the courtyard where Wenren Pingxin stayed.

The Sword Sect disciples looked up at Su Bei. He wore an Azure Crown, a single moon-colored robe underneath, and a matching wide cloak on top. The edges of the robe and cloak were adorned with rose patterns. Bathed in sunlight, a gentle smile played on his lips, and a soft glow radiated from his face.

What a tall, resplendent figure!

They couldn’t help but sigh to themselves, "Truly befitting of the man who declared, ’I, Su Bei, wish that every sword fighter in the world could slash the heavens with a single stroke!’"

The male disciples felt ashamed, unable to look directly at the Fifth Elder’s poised and heroic figure.

The female disciples couldn’t help but feel a pang of heartache, thinking of how Su Bei was about to be ravaged by their own Master. Then, they casually grabbed and rubbed against Su Bei, wanting to absorb his scent so that in the stillness of the night, their hearts might linger on thoughts and desires for him.

After saying goodbye to these enthusiastic disciples, Su Bei couldn’t help but sigh, "Being too talented seems to be somewhat troublesome."

"..."

These slender and beautiful legs should all be wearing ’Su Bei Family’ products and handing out flyers on the streets, Su Bei mused. Tsk tsk! What kind of influence would that be?

Shaking his head, Su Bei clasped his hands behind his back, turned, and walked into the quaint little courtyard.

The courtyard was silent.

Suddenly, Su Bei felt a fragrant breeze, and his body instinctively stiffened. Then, he felt warm breath near his ear, followed by a soft, tender body pressing against him.

Big! That was the only word echoing in Su Bei’s mind.

"Bei Bei, did you miss your Senior Sister?"

"You heartless thing! I thought you’d forgotten about your Senior Sister now that you have disciples."

"..."

Dark lines seemed to etch themselves onto Su Bei’s face. Feeling the smooth, warm hands already encircling his neck, he said, "Senior Sister, I came to speak to you about something serious."

Wenren Pingxin, pressing her soft bosom against him, nudged Su Bei into the room and pushed him onto a stool. Then, she languidly lay on the bed, crossing her slender, fair legs. She deliberately exposed almost all of them and, feigning surprise, said, "Isn’t visiting your Senior Sister a serious matter?"

"You haven’t seen your Senior Sister for a full twenty-six hours."

"Alas! It seems I was mistaken... No man has a conscience. To think I practically raised you, and now you have disciples and have forgotten your Senior Sister..."

"..."

Looking up, Su Bei tried his best not to gaze at Wenren Pingxin’s smooth, fair thighs, her beautiful heels, and her delicate ankles, all blatantly exposed.

He muttered inwardly, Heaven-sent justice... the Great Mighty Heavenly Dragon... positive energy... I am a saint...

Wenren Pingxin scoffed at Su Bei’s mock-serious expression.

She stretched out her small foot and kicked Su Bei in the stomach, her face full of disdain. "Who are you pretending to be, Mr. Righteous?"

"Is there any part of you I haven’t seen?"

"Spit it out, quickly. Don’t dawdle."

"What did you do to Xiao Jun yesterday? He had dark circles under his eyes this morning and looked completely dehydrated."

"He came to me early this morning to complain, but I ignored him. He reeked of alcohol..."

"..."

Su Bei’s eyebrows lifted as he stared at the flawless, jade-like foot kicking toward his chest. The lines of her delicate ankle bone were distinct and graceful, and the natural hollows on either side of her Achilles tendon were exquisitely soft. He then looked up to meet her scornful gaze, took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and grabbed her foot.

A challenge? I’m no chaste sage who can resist such temptation!

Wenren Pingxin stared at Su Bei in astonishment. An inexplicable blush spread across her cheeks, her body seemed to soften, and her small foot quickly wriggled free from his grasp.

She inwardly spat.

THUMP, THUMP, THUMP!

Her heart pounded. Does this little brat actually dare?

She coughed lightly to hide her momentary panic, instinctively tightening her robes before scolding, "What do you think you’re touching?"

"Don’t you know that in the secular world, a woman’s feet are her most private part? Never mind touching them, even a glance is considered a violation of her chastity!"

"..."

Su Bei curled his lips. And what about Eighth Junior Sister? She doesn’t even wear shoes, and I see her feet every day.

After coughing once, he looked seriously at Wenren Pingxin and began, "Senior Sister, I am here to discuss the Sword Sect’s new recruitment with you!"

"..."

Seeing Su Bei look so serious, Wenren Pingxin narrowed her eyes, her expression gradually becoming solemn.

In truth, she had been vexed by the Sword Sect’s recruitment for a long time.

Ever since Shangguan Wendao left the Sword Sect, the quality of recruits had been steadily declining!

She sighed deeply, then took a list from under her pillow and said to Su Bei, "Bei Bei, the reason your Senior Sister has entrusted this matter to you is because I believe you’ll find a way."

"You’re different from the others; you’re not so rigid."

"Actually, your Second Senior Brother approached me earlier. He wanted to take over the Sword Sect’s recruitment, but I feel that since I’ve chosen you, I should trust you!"

"Bei Bei, you won’t let your Senior Sister down, will you...?"

Wenren Pingxin blinked, tears welling in her eyes, her long eyelashes trembling, an utterly pitiable sight.

Her eyes, like autumn waters reflecting stars, were framed by temples that seemed adorned with pearls. Devoid of coquetry, she possessed a natural, captivating grace.

Well... if you ignored the fact that she was currently picking at her toes.

Su Bei slapped his forehead in desperation. The Sword Sect is doomed!

Seeing Su Bei’s reaction, Wenren Pingxin chuckled, then handed him the list and said slowly, "Bei Bei, take a look at this."

"I spent a lot of money gathering intelligence on other sects’ recruitment plans."

"The details are mostly in here."

"Rest assured, no matter what decision you make or what conditions you propose, your Senior Sister will support you unconditionally!"

"Go on, Bei Bei, give it your all! Don’t disappoint your Senior Sister."

"..."

Taking the list, Su Bei felt a warm current flow through his heart as he listened to Wenren Pingxin’s solemn words.

With his Senior Sister’s words of encouragement, he could now truly go all out!

His gaze towards Wenren Pingxin softened considerably as memories of their past together surfaced in his mind.

Thinking of how his Senior Sister had struggled and endured so much to raise him, he was moved to tears.

Then, Su Bei gently wiped the moisture from his eyes and, looking seriously at Wenren Pingxin, began, "Senior Sister, actually, there isn’t much I need your support for!"

"There’s just one thing! The Sect’s recruitment will require a fair bit of money, so..."

"..."

Before Su Bei could finish, Wenren Pingxin shot him a glance and said flatly, "Oh, the Sword Sect has no money. So, money is off the table."

"..."

Su Bei: "..."
