After the Divorce, I Could Hear the Voice of the Future -
Chapter 459 - 454: Madam, No Need to Explain
"Why would you think that?"
Lu Liang, with a smile playing at the corners of his mouth, scooped up a handful of water. The droplets trickled down between his fingers, landing on Miyuki's collarbone.
Although it was somewhat shameless, deceiving the young girl had now become second nature to him, and he managed to do it without his face changing color or his heart skipping a beat.
"Then, will we get married?"
Miyuki covered her mouth in surprise, unable to speak; her mother's happiness was completely forgotten.
"I will take responsibility for you," Lu Liang continued to smile, holding her hand as they intertwined in the water, caressing each other's cheeks and temples.
If it weren't for playing poker with Yang Mi, there might still be a restless excitement he hadn't experienced, but after having been with Mimimi, he realized he preferred young ones.
Before long, the two of them walked hand in hand out of the bathroom. Miyuki, clinging to Lu Liang's arm, had a joyous smile on her face.
"How about we change clothes and go out for a stroll?"
Lu Liang planned to stay in Tokyo for three days and had nothing scheduled for tomorrow, so he intended to take Miyuki out shopping.
It had been a long time since he last rested, and now seemed like the perfect opportunity to stroll around, shop, and buy things.
Miyuki was delighted. She nodded eagerly and swiftly ran to her room, "Sir, just wait twenty minutes."
Girls always took more trouble to get ready before going out. Even those who were naturally beautiful wanted to look even prettier, especially since this was her first date with Lu Liang.
Erii was still tidying up the kitchen, a loving smile on her face, "Meixue looks very happy."
"She's been quite troubled before," Lu Liang said with a smile, walking out of the room and changing into more casual attire.
Sneakers, jeans, and a T-shirt. Thinking it felt a bit cool outside, he put on an extra thick jacket.
Erii glanced at her daughter busy with makeup in the room and curiously asked, "Sir, what is Miyuki worried about?"
"She's concerned about your happiness," Lu Liang said with a smile, recounting the conversation they had just had in the bathroom.
When it came to the topic of adult toys, Erii's face turned red with embarrassment, and she quickly explained, "It was just a free trial set given by a salesperson on the way home that day."
"No need to explain, Madam."
Lu Liang gave a reassuring smile, clearly not interested in delving into the possibility of mother and daughter sharing his bed.
He paused and then added, "Miyuki is quite capable. I'm thinking of nurturing her talent. After she graduates, I plan to have her come help me at the company."
Erii looked joyful but before she could express her thanks, Lu Liang spoke again, "It's just that you've taken such good care of her, I worry about her ability to look after herself in the future."
Erii was silent for a while before finally speaking, "Once she graduates, I'll go back to the countryside. My mother in Kumamoto still has a few old houses."
Lu Liang gave a smile, walked to the door of the second bedroom, and leaned on the doorframe, "Ready yet? If you're too late, I might change my mind."
"Right away, right away, I'm ready!" Miyuki hurriedly put on a headband, biting her lipstick, and quickly applied it.
She trotted over to Lu Liang, looking up, "Sir, how's my makeup? Does it look good?"
"Looks like the lipstick is smeared, like it's been kissed," said Lu Liang, reaching out to help her even it out.
With pouted lips and pride, Miyuki boasted, "It's not smeared, it's intentional. It's a trendy 'kissed' makeup look right now."
Lu Liang chuckled and extended his arm.
Miyuki, beaming with delight, took his arm, "Mom, we're going out."
"Be careful when you're out and don't trouble Sir."
Erii stood at the entrance, watching the two leave, her smile slowly replaced with a sense of loss.
She didn't understand why Lu Liang wanted her to leave, but for her daughter's happiness and future, she was willing to go.
Kanzaki Apartment, the underground parking lot.
On the parking spot, a Toyota Alphard and a Porsche GT were both covered, thick dust layered on their covers.
"Do you guys not drive usually?"
Lu Liang uncovered the Porsche GT with focused attention, revealing a nearly brand-new two-seater hardtop silver sports car.
This apartment complex had been a gift from Ota Ling.
There were also three cars ready to use in the parking spot, a Maybach, a Toyota Alphard, and a Porsche GT.
The Maybach had been driven to his company immediately and usually stayed there, only being used when he came to Tokyo.
The other two cars had always remained in the apartment's parking lot, left for Sakurada Miyuki and her mother's use as a means of transport.
Sakurada Miyuki folded the car cover with care and chuckled innocently, "I don't have a driver's license, and Mom is not very good at driving."
"Find some time to learn."
Lu Liang opened the car door and ripped off the protective film on the dashboard, "It's been parked for so long, I don't know if it will start."
"It should, I remember Mom started it up last month, she said it would break if not used, and let it idle for more than ten minutes."
Miyuki beamed a radiant smile as she settled into the passenger seat. She acted like a kid with ADHD, touching and poking around curiously, her face lit up with wonder.
With a sound akin to electricity being switched on, all the lights on the dashboard came on. Only the tire pressure indicator was a bit low, but nothing else seemed problematic.
"Thanks to the missus."
Lu Liang looked over the controls for a while and opened the hardtop convertible roof. He had driven a Pagani before, as well as a Lamborghini.
These sports cars all had their quirks, being very distinctive in their ways, and without a bit of study, you wouldn't know how to use all the features.
Miyuki looked slightly dazed, "My father used to say the same thing, only he would say, 'Thanks to Erii.'"
"So what, you're thinking of me as a dad now?" Lu Liang teased with a smile, lightly pressing the gas pedal to warm up the engine a bit.
The silver sports car shot out of the parking lot like an arrow from a bow.
"I don't want that anymore, not at all."
Miyuki scrunches her nose, shaking her head as if it were on a rattle drum.
She was willing to share with her mother on the condition that Lu Liang wasn't personally hers. Now that she had the chance, even a little bit, she wanted to be selfish.
Tokyo is a coastal city. Driving away from Roppongi, they took a loop around the Capital Highway Bayfront Line to enjoy the night view of Tokyo Bay, eventually arriving at the shopping paradise of Yorletown in Ginza.
Like the shopping malls in the International Financial Center in Modu, this five-story mall gathered luxury brands from all over the world.
A mere keychain sold for 280,000 yen, which seemed terrifying in numbers, but in reality, it was just over 2,000 RMB.
Passing by the Louis Vuitton store, Lu Liang noticed Miyuki eyeing a dress fondly and said with a smile, "If you like it, go in and try it on."
Right now, his desire to shop was low. After all, he didn't need to look at prices; clothes costing dozens or tens of thousands were all the same to him.
If he weren't taking Miyuki out, he would rather go to the seaside of Tokyo Bay, drive leisurely at forty or fifty kilometers per hour, and enjoy the sea breeze.
He would drive towards the edge of the city until he got tired, then find a restaurant with unique flavors along the way to eat, and simply pick a hotel to sleep in after the meal.
Lu Liang always found this very therapeutic,
and it had been his favorite way to relax in the past six months.
"Let's forget about it," Miyuki said with a hesitant look, clearly taken aback by the eight or near-nine-figure price tag.
Without further ado, Lu Liang pulled her into the store and pointed to the pink mid-short skirt she had been looking at, "Try this one on."
He pointed to a light pink and white small crossbody bag on the counter, "Bring that one down too, please."
"Certainly, sir." The sales associate smiled with eyes narrowed. They loved customers like Lu Liang.
Who looked at the style and design without worrying about the price, seemingly ready to make big purchases, definitely someone who could afford it.
The boss had spoken, and even if Miyuki disagreed, she had to agree, being half-dragged into the fitting room by the sales associate.
The pink netted mid-short skirt on Sakurada Miyuki made her look like a fairy descended from heaven.
Fresh and cute with a touch of playfulness, her pristine white legs exposed, enhancing the youthful vigor of a young girl.
The sales associate praised, "This young lady is truly beautiful. Why do I feel like I've seen her somewhere before?"
Lu Liang looked down at her feet, where the small white shoes, though clean from repeated washing, were starting to turn a little yellow.
He picked another pair of white dad shoes and said with a smile, "Doesn't she look like a certain actress from the Showa era?"
Lu Liang needed to take back what he'd just said; he suddenly found the joy of shopping, like playing a real-life version of Dance Dance Revolution.
Miyuki was his character in the game, and players always like to dress up their avatars beautifully.
It had nothing to do with gender, but the appreciation of beauty.
The sales associate's eyes lit up, suddenly exclaiming, "Akina~ Really looks like her, the hair quality is the same as well, soft with a hint of natural curls."
Lu Liang's mouth curled into a smile, feeling even more like he was in a game. When the avatar was well-dressed, he would get compliments even from non-currency players, though in the past he was the one yelling '666.'
Feeling overjoyed, Lu Liang said, "We'll take that set, and those few bags as well."
Though it cost over a hundred million yen, converted to RMB it wasn't even a million, but money couldn't buy his happiness.
