Chapter 264: Chapter 164 Taking a Stand for My Uncle_2
Chen Feng put down his phone for the third time and was about to take off his pants when the phone rang again.
Damn it, someone really didn’t want him to sleep.
He picked up the phone for the fourth time and saw it was his uncle calling again. He thought about not answering, but it was his uncle after all, so he picked up.
"Ah Feng, I’m in trouble. Hurry over to the Golden Summer Nightclub and back me up."
Chen Feng, annoyed, asked, "Did you get into a fight?"
Zhao Guozhong immediately denied it, "No. How could a civilized person like me get into a fight?"
"What exactly happened then?" Chen Feng asked, frowning.
Zhao Guozhong hesitated before saying, "Well, a hostess opened two bottles of foreign liquor for me, charging eight thousand eight hundred per bottle, that’s seventeen thousand for two! Isn’t that extortion? And now they won’t let me leave."
Chen Feng got angry when he heard this. He might not have a high opinion of his uncle, but he couldn’t just stand by and watch him get bullied.
What the hell kind of drink costs eight thousand eight hundred per bottle?
"Alright, I’m on my way. Where exactly is it?"
"Golden Summer Nightclub, on Lisheng Road. You should know it, this nightclub is quite famous in our county."
Chen Feng had never heard of this Golden Summer Nightclub before, but he could tell it wasn’t a decent place.
He knew where Lisheng Road was, so he replied, "Alright, got it, I’m on my way. Don’t start any conflicts now, just say a friend is coming over with the money."
"Uh huh, I know. There are several bouncers around here; I wouldn’t confront them head-on."
Chen Feng hung up, put his coat back on, and hurried out the door.
At this time, there was no one downstairs, which saved Chen Feng the trouble of having to explain himself.
He got into his car and, within fifteen minutes, Chen Feng had found the Golden Summer Nightclub. There was a sign with lights indicating the way at the street corner, and the nightclub’s luminous sign was quite conspicuous.
He parked the car, got out, and while calling his uncle on his phone, Chen Feng hurriedly walked toward the nightclub.
After getting the specific room number over the phone, Chen Feng quickly found it.
Two burly men in security uniforms were standing at the door of the private room, and they stopped him as he approached.
"There are people inside, you can’t go in," one of them said.
"The people inside are my friends, I’ve brought the money."
After the two security guards looked at each other, the other one nodded and said, "Then go on in."
Chen Feng pushed the door open and walked in.
It was a medium-sized room, crowded with about a dozen people, either sitting or standing.
Four men and four women were sitting on the sofa; Zhao Guozhong was among them. Standing were four men, including two middle-aged men in black suits and two tall men in security uniforms.
"Ah Feng, you’re here? Did you bring the money?" Zhao Guozhong stood up from the sofa with a relieved expression as he saw Chen Feng enter.
Hearing this, Chen Feng frowned; he had only mentioned bringing money as a pretext to stall, not to actually pay for his uncle’s bill.
"What exactly is going on here?"
Chen Feng asked in a deep voice.
Before Zhao Guozhong could respond, one of the middle-aged men with a crew cut spoke, "You’re the one they called to pay, right? Then just settle their bill for tonight. It’s twenty-three thousand six hundred fifty in total, just round it down to twenty-three thousand six."
This man, in his mid-thirties with dark skin and sharp, unfriendly eyes, looked formidable.
He appeared very calm and controlled the situation well.
"Where’s the bill? Let me see it," Chen Feng asked, sizing him up covertly, his expression still calm.
Surprised, the man glanced at Chen Feng and signaled to another, slightly younger bald man beside him who then handed over the bill to Chen Feng.
Chen Feng took it and looked; it was indeed an eye-opener—the bill showed two bottles of Ace of Spades champagne costing seventeen thousand six hundred; each bottle was eight thousand eight hundred.
Compared to this, other items like the luxury fruit platter for a few hundred seemed trivial. Additionally, each person had ordered a hostess.
"What kind of Ace of Spades champagne is this? I’ve never seen such before in my life, and to think it’s available here in our shabby county," Chen Feng remarked as he walked over to the sofas where a group sat and glanced at the bottles on the coffee table.
Two golden bottles, beautifully crafted and radiating a nouveau riche vibe, were presumably the Ace of Spades in question.
But he still needed confirmation.
"Is this the eight thousand eight hundred per bottle drink?" Chen Feng asked, picking up one of the bottles and turning to Zhao Guozhong.
Zhao Guozhong nodded and stammered, "I had no idea this foreign liquor was so expensive; she didn’t make it clear at the beginning."
Zhao Guozhong pointed at the hostess sitting innocently next to him, a woman in her mid-twenties, heavily made-up, scoring barely a seventy, with a prominent chest that might not even be real.
"Boss, you were the one who asked for the two most expensive bottles. I said the most expensive was the Ace of Spades, and you agreed. How was I to know you were flaunting money you didn’t have? How can you blame me?"
The hostess looked both innocent and scornful.
Zhao Guozhong glared at her angrily and retorted, "If you had told me it was eight thousand eight hundred per bottle, only an idiot would order it."
Well, his reply made it clear he was exactly that idiot; he had been easily tricked by a hostess.
