I have to charge you for the rent because I have no duty to cover it for you. If we all go out for meals and entertainment, as a friend, I can pick up the tab so you don’t have to spend. Chen Feng looked at Wu Mengting and said in dialect, "I don’t like her, why are you covering money for her? You probably don’t know, but I easily bought her off with a raise before, to persuade you to reconcile, and then she told me all your thoughts and intentions..."

Wu Mengting nodded and spoke in dialect, "I know. She can be greedy, but she isn’t a bad person. She’s a close college friend’s cousin. Unfortunately, now that you’ve gone from lovers to siblings, I don’t have much to say."

"Fine, as long as you’re aware. Just treat Mengting better in the future, and I won’t treat you unfairly either."
