Chapter 360: Chapter 356: Clarification Post
Arriving at the veranda hall, Jiang Lingxi just received a document sent to her by Shen Yunqing on her phone.
Just as she was about to open it, she was reminded: "The document is a bit long, read it inside."
She reluctantly put her phone down and looked up at the veranda hall in front of her.
The hall was fragranced by Xia Zhi in advance. Jiang Lingxi took a whiff, her expression eased a bit, and the disgust caused by Jing Huai’s social media post dissipated considerably, she stepped over the sandalwood threshold.
Xia Zhi had just double-checked the prepared tea leaves and tea set, and upon hearing footsteps, hurriedly stood up and turned towards the door.
"Sir is back, Xia Zhi greets Your Majesty!"
Without needing to kneel, he switched to deeply bowing towards Jiang Lingxi as a sign of respect.
Jiang Lingxi had only speculated before, for as familiar as she was with her household’s Prime Minister, she had only met his most capable steward twice and just knew his name.
But seeing this man’s address now was confirmation enough.
"There is no ’Your Majesty’ now, just call me Miss Jiang," she said.
Xia Zhi responded respectfully, glancing again at his master standing beside Her Majesty.
Just calling her Miss Jiang, it seemed his master still needed to work hard.
Shen Yunqing: Received encouragement!
"Then Miss Jiang and sir can sit and chat, I’ll head out first."
Shen Yunqing waved him away.
Xia Zhi quickly left, and in no time, only the two of them who had just entered were left in the hall.
Jiang Lingxi walked in unabashedly, choosing a seat close to the incense where she could easily reach for the teacup on the table.
It had indeed been a long time since she smelled such familiar incense.
Shen Yunqing, seeing this, did not sit immediately but went to the adjacent side hall first.
Jiang Lingxi gave him a glance but didn’t question him, instead pulling out her phone and opening the just-received document.
She had only skimmed it before and hadn’t noticed; now she realized the document was nearly a thousand words, with over a dozen pictures.
After reading it word for word, she silently gave a thumbs-up to Shen Yunqing’s assistant team.
Though she could have organized it herself, first she had no time, and second, she lacked patience, especially with the images. Finding someone who could entirely restore the pictures was not easy, even with Tong Yue’s help, it wouldn’t be quick.
Footsteps sounded, and Jiang Lingxi looked up to see Shen Yunqing walking towards her with a wooden bucket, the herbal scent growing stronger as he approached.
"You really prepared a foot soaking bucket!"
Shen Yunqing placed the wooden bucket by Jiang Lingxi’s feet, "I often soak my feet too, but this wooden bucket is new, filled with herbs that soothe the spirit, perfect for now."
With the foot soak water prepared, Jiang Lingxi didn’t hesitate, removed her slippers and placed her feet into the water, letting out a faint hiss from the heat.
Shen Yunqing’s brow furrowed at this, reaching out to test the water temperature, "Is the water too hot?"
"Hiss, it’s fine," Jiang Lingxi quickly held back his hand about to dip into the water, "The heat actually feels quite nice, take a seat and relax."
Obediently, Shen Yunqing sat down but soon moved to the tea table where he began fiddling with the tea set as he saw Jiang Lingxi lowering her head to her phone.
Once Jiang Lingxi had made some minor edits to the post with clarified images and text to fit her preferred format, as she navigated her social media account to post it, a subtle and elegant tea aroma filled the air.
Accompanied by the incense on the side, the comfortable soaking of her feet, and the ancient ambiance of the room, it almost made her feel transported back a thousand years.
Finally able to relax after handling official matters, and with tea personally brewed by her Prime Minister, it was the ultimate enjoyment.
However, upon looking at her phone, a thought arose: Someone should be damned!
Disrupting her good mood!
After uploading, Jiang Lingxi decisively turned off her phone and tossed it aside, taking the teacup at just the right temperature and sipping it with half-closed eyes.
"It’s still the same taste!"
Though the tea leaves were different, some people brewed uniquely flavored tea that others couldn’t replicate.
Back when she hadn’t returned to the capital and was already exhausted, there was some regret in knowing she might never taste the tea personally brewed by her Prime Minister again.
Yet now she not only lived another life but could drink this freshly brewed tea once again, indicating that Heaven still favored her.
After finishing a pot of tea, and as the water in the wooden bucket cooled, Jiang Lingxi dried her feet with a nearby towel, slipped her feet back into her slippers, and then picked up her phone to check the responses to her post, only to first receive several messages from Lu Zhengzheng.
