"Looks matter, justice be damned," thought Ji Weitian, as she observed Qin Nanyu that day. He suddenly didn’t seem as unlikeable as usual.

Especially when he stood in front of everyone, personally adjusting the program.

Others might not have noticed the sophistication of his technique, but Ji Weitian, seeing it all, felt that her previous judgment of him might have been a bit unfair.

He seemed... actually quite impressive.

Weitian’s feelings were quietly evolving, and when she realized she was actually praising Qin Nanyu, she didn’t hesitate to slap her own face twice.

Qin Nanyu glanced at it, his brow furrowed, and he turned his head to instruct the continuation of the next trial.

Time was ticking away.

Everyone was absorbed in the experiment, fully focused on their work, not noticing that Ji Weitian had been standing in the lab for nearly two hours.

Her gaze was fixed on the data and images displayed on the large screen, her brain unconsciously performing calculations and deductions... even her eyes narrowed slightly, showing a radically different expression from her initial confusion.

Qin Nanyu, who had been focused on data adjustment, paused upon hearing Ji Weitian’s suggestion, as if contemplating the feasibility of her idea. A light flashed through his dark eyes as he quickly bent down to adjust the program and continued writing the subsequent steps.

With a "ding," a new 3D image was regenerated on the screen.

"Boss, it looks like it was successful!" the assistant exclaimed excitedly.

Qin Nanyu stood up, glanced at the computer screen, then turned to look at Ji Weitian standing at the back of the lab.

His eyes slightly narrowed, he stood up straight from the computer and turned to instruct others to recheck the program data, to see if the expected results were achieved.

He then walked toward Ji Weitian.

His tall and stately figure, in the context of a laboratory, seemed even more imposing and delivered an overwhelming presence.

Ji Weitian took in a breath of cold air.

Annoyed as she was, she had just done him a big favor. Surely, he wouldn’t kick her out now, would he?

With this thought, Ji Weitian straightened her back and stood firm.

Watching Qin Nanyu take a few long strides towards her, he opened his lips quietly, "How did you come up with it?"

"Huh?" Ji Weitian was stunned.

In her mind, she had imagined he would either happily praise her or angrily drive her away.

She had never expected that he would seriously ask her about the reasoning behind her solution.

Anyone else, and Ji Weitian might have just played dumb, claiming it was a lucky guess, but facing Qin Nanyu, for the first time in her life, she felt the impulse not to be looked down upon!
