Accidentally Reincarnated in Cultivation World -
Chapter 36: The Time has Arrived
Chapter 36: The Time has Arrived
Yu Xuan groggily woke up from his bed, stretched like a lazy cat, and went through his usual morning routine before heading out to wander around the clan grounds.
As he passed by a few elders and disciples, he greeted them with a nod — and they greeted him back with warmth and respect.
Over the years, his reputation within the Yu Clan had grown significantly.
While Lingluo had once been infamous for her mischievous antics, upon her return, she had adopted the cool, aloof air of a reclusive genius. It left quite the impression.
But Yu Xuan... Yu Xuan was a different kind of storm.
Whenever people saw him, they were momentarily entranced.
Some even compared him to a perfect fusion of his father and mother’s best features — elegant like Huan Lianhua, with the regal air of Yu Changming.
Handsome.
Unfortunately, some considered him more than that.
So when he walked past female disciples, they blushed, regardless of age.
Whether young or old, it didn’t matter — the ultimate weapon of unintentional charm had arrived.
Even some male disciples, feeling inferior, began experimenting with makeup.
Unbeknownst to him, two opposing factions had formed within the younger generation: one worshipped him openly, the other quietly resented their genetic inferiority.
And thus, a nickname was born.
"Flower of the Yu Clan"
When Yu Xuan found out, he was furious.
"My first title in this life... is this?!"
To make things worse, his system acknowledged the title.
Still bitter, he sighed as he strolled toward the training fields, silently hoping that the day for cultivation would come soon.
With a flick of thought, he willed, ’Status.’
A sleek golden-black screen opened before his eyes.

Yu Xuan nodded to himself.
He called it the "peak of the mortal stage."
A fancy way of saying, "still stuck with no cultivation."
After his awakening, he finally got access to more system tabs.
The cultivation and martial techniques still had placeholder names — which he refused to fill in until he found something "cool enough."
He clicked on [Physique] and [Bloodline] next.

Yu Xuan stared at it for a while.
"...Is my system broken or just dramatic?"
Still, seeing the EX-grade brought him some peace.
He knew that EX meant something rare.
(He was talking about the grade, not something else.)
Something beyond classification. Something... special.
Just as he pondered on how long he’d have to wait to finally begin cultivation, an announcement boomed across the entire Yu Clan:
"All disciples who have yet to begin cultivation — report to the Core Clan Grounds immediately!"
Yu Xuan froze mid-step.
He blinked once. Then twice.
"...It’s happening."
All across the Yu Clan, disciples with unawakened cultivation stirred with excitement. Elders appeared, calling out names, and began escorting them using flying swords toward the gathering.
From the skies, it looked like thousands of shining streaks of light were converging toward a single location.
Within minutes, the open fields surrounding the Core Grounds filled with tens of thousands of young disciples — a sea of white and black robes fluttering in the breeze.
Since past something like this had not happened.
But this...
This was on an entirely different scale.
This was the true beginning of the path for the youngsters as cultivators.
Yu Xuan stood at the edge of the gathering, his eyes glimmering.
Finally.
The time had arrived.
***
Yu Xuan stood amidst the sea of gathered disciples, his eyes scanning the crowd with mild awe.
It was the first time he’d seen so many people his age or close to it—all gathered in one place.
And what a crowd it was.
He saw disciples with sharp square jaws, others with tiny villainous eyes, a literal child with a thick goatee, a bald boy with no eyebrows, girls who looked far too mature for their age... and girls who didn’t look their age at all. There were brightly colored hairstyles, flashy robes, tattooed arms.
It was as if someone had opened a portal from every corner of cultivation tropes and dumped them here.
’This... this is paradise for any Earth reader into cultivation novels,’ Yu Xuan thought, half-amused, half-concerned.
Then, in the distance near where the Elders were gathering, he spotted a familiar trio — his mother, Lingluo, and Ming Tianmei.
He walked toward them casually.
Looking up at his mother, he asked, "Is it time?"
Huan Lianhua smiled faintly, brushing a silvery strand of hair from her face. "Not yet. A few old geezers wanted to give long speeches, so they had everyone gather early."
Yu Xuan squinted. "Wait... Mom, is that you?"
Something about her felt off—he didn’t know what, but it did.
She tilted her head, mildly surprised, then leaned down and pinched his cheek. "Oh? How perceptive~."
"Mmmmmm—Mother, stoooop!"
She finally released his face and said calmly, "This is indeed your mom... and also not. I’m just a clone. The real me is currently handling matters at the Huan family."
Yu Xuan blinked. He had never visited his mother’s family before. No one had ever brought it up, and he assumed there was some long-standing problem.
Little did he know... the truth was far more complicated, or rather more opposite.
Huan Lianhua straightened and looked at the three of them — Yu Xuan, Lingluo, and Tianmei.
"Your lives will change the moment you step into cultivation. Be responsible."
To Yu Xuan, it sounded like the start of a lecture. To the other two, it felt like a send-off.
"Now go stand in line," she said with a light flick of her sleeve — and vanished, leaving behind nothing but a few strands of glittering spirit mist, as if to show off.
Yu Xuan rubbed his cheek. "Yep. Definitely Mom."
