While the battle between the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li and the Finger Winged False King was starting to unfold, the troops of the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin were stationed within a ravaged city in a faraway location. The morale of the soldiers had hit rock bottom and the entire ruin was filled with a gloomy atmosphere. The Other Tide's frenzied retaliation had caused them to lose over half of their gains and many Pinnacle Dukes had fallen as well. This loss had cut bone-deep for both the Bloodlines of Heavenly Emperor Qin and Zhao.

Within the city lord's manor.

The Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin's decision makers were gathered.

The group was currently surrounding a spirit mirror that was flickering with light. It was displaying a chaotic and intense battle that was unfolding at the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li's frontlines. They were closely watching what was going on there.

When they saw the Finger Winged False King, their expressions were first tinged with pain and hatred before looks of perverse satisfaction took over. After all, the losses inflicted by this creature had been dire, and they were hoping that the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li would be fed a taste of the suffering they had experienced. It was a pity that their expectations were overturned.

This was especially so when Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e had joined hands and resisted successfully. Previously, none of the ninth-grade Pinnacle Dukes were capable of forcing the Finger Winged False King back, so the hall fell deathly silent when everyone observed the duo's success. Qin Zhongyuan, Qin Zhiming, and Qin Qu had ugly expressions. Although it was unfortunate that they themselves had failed, seeing others succeed felt extra unbearable. The Finger Winged False King had slaughtered countless of their soldiers, and if the same thing had happened to the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li, this would imply that the Finger Winged False King was too strong of a foe. However, the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li had sent Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e, two unbelievably strong juniors, to suppress the Finger Winged False King in a fierce confrontation. If the duo successfuly suppressed it, the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin would simply look incompetent. Both of them were Heavenly Emperor powers, so why was the gap between them so big?

While some were left speechless, Qin Qu was the first to speak up and break the depressing silence. "They have not won yet. The Finger Winged False King was simply careless and has not revealed its true strength. Even though Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e have the Absolute Resonance Seed and the Genesis Seed, they might not be able to pull off a victory."

Zhao Zong nodded in agreement. "The Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li might have stabilized the situation at the frontlines for now, but they are also suffering numerous casualties. So long as Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e are unable to overcome the Finger Winged False King, their losses will rack up in this endless, meat-grinding battle."

Hearing the two Kings' comments caused the rest of the elders to feel a little better about themselves. However, Qin Zhongyuan remained in thought for a while before asking Zhao Zong, "Would the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Zhao be able to dispatch more Pinnacle Dukes to help?"

When Zhao Zong heard those words, he paused before awkwardly replying, "It's not that the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Zhao is unwilling to help, but we've also suffered large losses in this fight and can't really send out more of them."

Hearing the indirect rejection in Zhao Zong's words, Qin Zhongyuan, Qin Zhiming, and Qin Qu's expressions sank. They understood that their defeat had resulted in the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Zhao deciding not to sink any more resources into this.

When Zhao Zong saw this, he didn't elaborate further, ending things off with some polite words before bringing his crestfallen men away.

These actions caused unease and dissatisfaction amongst the elders present.

At this moment, a soft voice filled the room. "Palace Masters, do we, the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin, have to remain hostile towards the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li because of our fears?"

Everyone was taken aback by these sudden words. They turned to look at Qin Yi, who was sitting in a corner, her elegant features illuminated by the light.

"Little Yi, what are you trying to say?" Qin Zhongyuan asked gently.

Heavenly Emperor Qin had personally chosen Qin Yi to inherit the Vast Ocean Sacred Seed. Furthermore, she had cemented her position as the leader of the younger generation in the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin over the past two years. Although she was not as famous nor as powerful as Li Luo or Jiang Qing'e, she was qualified to stand on her own.

"The Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Zhao wishes to borrow the hand of the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin to suppress the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li. However, in the current situation, they are unwilling to give us more help. With our strength, we are completely unable to deal with the Finger Winged False King and thus, I feel that we should set aside our hostility with the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li and look at the bigger picture to resolve the Other Disaster." Qin Yi's gentle voice echoed resoundingly throughout the hall.

"Rescind our hostilities?" Qin Qu frowned before coldly snorting. "You should remember that your mother died at the hands of Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e."

Qin Yi fell silent for a few moments before replying, "They can't be blamed for that."

"Qin Lian truly gave birth to an excellent daughter," Qin Qu mocked sarcastically.

However, before she could speak further, Qin Zhiming interjected. "Then what do you think we should do?"

Despite being scrutinized by everyone present, Qin Yi didn't reveal any hint of fear as she calmly explained, "We should mobilize all our forces to support the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li's front lines. We'll attack the Other Tide from the side and alleviate the pressure on them. The Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin no longer possesses the strength to vanquish the Other Disaster by ourselves. We have to work together with them to achieve this. If we rush to help them at this time, we can win greater negotiating rights. Otherwise, if we wait until Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e defeat the Finger Winged False King, we will lose the initiative. Thus, if the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin wishes to end the Other Disaster, this might very well be the last chance we have to work with the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li."

Her words reverberated loudly throughout the hall, shocking many of the elders. They did not expect that Qin Yi would suggest abandoning the initial strategy of allying with the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Zhao and instead to work with the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li.

"Are you confident that Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e will be able to defeat the Finger Winged False King?" Qin Zhongyuan asked. "Do you know what sort of price we will have to pay for working together with the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li? Li Tianji is an old fox—he will naturally take a bite out of us."

Qin Yi lowered her eyes as she coolly replied, "If the Other Disaster is not resolved, more and more False King Others will appear in the future. At that point, we will definitely lose even more."

Qin Zhongyuan was quiet as he pondered over the possibilities before sighing. "We'll have to consider this again."

"There isn't much time left," Qin Yi continued.

Qin Qu frowned. "Qin Yi, don't say anymore. This is not a situation for the younger generation to interfere in. It is not certain if Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e can defeat the Finger Winged False King. If we want to cooperate with the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li, we have to wait for them to suffer a major defeat so that we have more room for negotiation. Look closely, the Finger Winged False King is already enraged."

At this point, everyone, including Qin Yi, turned their eyes towards the spirit mirror. They could see that billowing amounts of corruption was rushing into the sky from the giant pit that the Finger Winged False King had been slammed into. Black clouds formed and then Stygian Rain poured down into the depths of the pit. Within the dense corruption, the Finger Winged False King appeared.

The white Finger Wings had undergone a clear transformation. Instead, there were now... four inky black wings that dripped with viscous liquid. As the four wings fluttered, the False King resembled a four-winged devil crawling out of the deepest abyss, sending a chill down everyone's spines.

The Finger Winged False King's aura began to soar and the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin's elders' expressions turned solemn. Even though this was a projection, they could sense that the creature was an entire level stronger than before. Would Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e be able to resist its might?

Perhaps it would turn out as Palace Master Qin Qu said, they could wait for the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li to suffer a loss before they discussed terms to work together. That would be the most opportune time after all. At that point, the bloodied Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li would choose to compromise.

Qin Zhongyuan nodded. "Then let's wait—"

Qin Yi took a deep breath before interrupting Qin Zhongyuan. "You can't wait any longer!"

She had overstepped her boundaries, arousing the anger of both Qin Zhongyuan and Qin Qu. After all, in terms of status and position, Qin Yi was not the equal of Li Luo within his own bloodline.

"Qin Qu, you are being far too presumptuous!" Qin Qu said gloomily.

However, Qin Yi ignored her and her own expression turned resolute. A light-blue water mark appeared between her eyebrows and then split open, transforming into the Apex Resonance Crystal Core.

She had summoned the Vast Ocean Sacred Seed.

The Apex Resonance Crystal Core seemed to contain a boundless ocean within it, filled with the source origin energy of water. However, just as Qin Qu was about to rebuke her yet again, a vast pressure descended from the Apex Resonance Crystal Core.

Qin Qu's words were stuck in her throat and all of the elders present were stunned by this development. After which, they all knelt down, even the likes of Qin Zhongyuan.

"Greetings, Ancestor!"

All of them could feel a pressure that cut straight to the very essence of their blood. There was no doubt as to who the source of this aura was.

The Apex Resonance Crystal Core then continued to emit mysterious, shimmering light. The room utterly silent for a moment before an elderly voice was transmitted through the void, with the core as a conduit.

"Yi's opnion is the same as mine."

Everyone present was flabbergasted. Even Qin Zhongyuan and Qin Qu were speechless for several moments. They had never imagined that Qin Yi would be capable of calling the Ancestor, who had not appeared for over a hundred years, to speak on her behalf. The command was simple and there was no follow-up. Afterwards, the Ancestor fell silent yet again.

However, no one dared to disregard those words.

When the elders looked at Qin Yi once again, their eyes were filled with newfound respect. Even Qin Qu's expression had eased.

Qin Zhongyuan remained quiet for a while before finally making his decision. "Relay my command. The soldiers near the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li's frontlines will rally and attack the flank of the Other Tide from the west and relieve the pressure on them. Ignore Zhao Zong, and if he objects, allow him to take his men away."

In the hall, the many elders responded in agreement before turning to leave in a hurry and mobilize the troops.

Qin Yi, on the other hand, remained seated with her eyes shut. A look of fatigue could be seen on her beautiful face. The Apex Resonance Crystal Core between her eyebrows had vanished and she looked drained.

Meanwhile, the three Palace Masters all had complicated expressions. Their gazes lingered on Qin Yi for a while longer before they turned to leave.

Qin Yi only opened her eyes after the place was vacated, as she couldn't hide how nervous she was feeling. Even her hands were covered with cold sweat. At the same time, she thought to herself, "Ancestor, please forgive me for my treasonous behavior. Everything I do is for the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin. If you wish to punish me in the future, I will accept all responsibility."
