"It’s over, it’s all over... The True King is too ruthless!"
Li Jindou was hysterical, filled with panic and frustration, "For a place like the kiln factory, was it necessary to seal a demon?"
He could feel the tyrannical aura emanating from the direction of the kiln factory. It was so powerful that even someone of his cultivation realm felt hopeless.
"Tianqing and Chen Shi are still outside playing, this is terrible!"
He almost couldn’t suppress the porcelain transformation taking over his legs, extremely anxious, he tried to move off the bed.
With the emergence of demons, all evils advance concurrently.
In the domain of demons, evil spirits thrived like fish in water, unaffected by porcelain transformation and no longer restrained by the night.
They would gradually awaken, draw on the peculiar forces in the Demon Domain, and begin preying on the living.
Although Li Jindou hadn’t read as many books as Li Tianqing, he had experienced far more and knew too well how terrifying the birth of demons could be.
He had lived through three disasters caused by Demon Transformations; demon-level disasters were calamities that obliterated cities. Few survived in a city and its jurisdictions following such catastrophes!
Each Demon Transformation took millions of lives!
Fortunately, demon-level disasters were very rare, usually, it was only at the demon level.
Demons were easier to deal with.
Now, the Demon Domain was still expanding, and the demonization was not deep yet. Initially affected were lower life forms like birds, fish, insects, and plants such as crops and vegetables, which increasingly took on porcelain forms.
A day later, once the Demon Domain expanded around a hundred miles, it would stop expanding, and then higher life forms like humans and animals would be affected.
They would gradually become sluggish, and within two days, they would turn into porcelain.
By the fourth day, most people would have turned to porcelain, leaving only the cultivators in this hundred-mile radius.
On the seventh day, cultivators with Divine Embryos would see their embryos and physical bodies start to porcelainize.
On the eleventh day, the Golden Cores would turn to porcelain.
On the nineteenth day, the Nascent Souls would undergo porcelainization.
On the thirtieth day, the Primordial Spirits would transform.
...
Sweat rolled down Li Jindou’s forehead. Even if every village had the protection of Granny Sha, she could at most only grant ordinary people and cultivators an extra two days.
"I, along with Huangpo Village’s Granny Sha, could hold on for at most thirty-two days. After thirty-two days, I am doomed! Oh right, the people of Qianyang Mountain, there are still the people of Qianyang Mountain!"
His eyes lit up as he eagerly called out his grandfather Chen Shi’s name, but there was no response after a long while.
Li Jindou immediately used his arms as legs, dragging his porcelainized lower legs, and crawled out of the west wing, only to find the Chen Family home empty, no one else around.
"Where is everyone? Where have they gone?"
He couldn’t help but become irritable.
"Since no one is at home, then I must go out!"
He put his hands on the ground, went upside down, and swiftly moved outside.
At Mirror Lake Villa, layers of coffins opened one by one. King Xiao emerged from one of the coffins, looked up in surprise at the sky which seemed to be covered with a thin layer of red gauze covering Qianyang Mountain. The coverage appeared vast from within the valley.
"Could it be... a demon-level disaster?"
His expression slightly changed, aware of the critical risks of a demon-level disaster.
"A demon suppressed by the True King has been released. Who would do such a damn thing?"
He was still recovering from his injuries but reached out to grab a long sword, while the sheathed short sword transformed to the size of a hairpin. King Xiao tied his hair up, inserted the hairpin, and stepped outside.
"Under this Demon Transformation, within a hundred miles, everything ends! For my life, for the lives of people within a hundred miles, I must fight to the death!"
In Gangzi Village, Granny Sha stared at her rice drum; the rice inside had turned heavy, no longer rice, but porcelain rice.
This kind of rice was inedible.
She stepped outside to find that the cabbage she grew by the wall was also casting a porcelain glow.
The old granny, with her hands behind her back, walked outside the village. Along the way, she only saw villagers exclaiming, realizing that all the grains and oils in each household had turned into porcelain.
Granny Sha’s face darkened. As she reached the outskirts of the fields, she saw the ground full of porcelain stalks, with a group of Xinxiang rats standing bewildered at the edge of the fields.
There was also a cormorant in the river that had caught a fish, trying to swallow it but ended up spitting it out.
The fish was also porcelain.
"The grains have turned to porcelain, we can starve for one day, two days, three days. We can still eat some household poultry and mutant beasts. But what when the poultry and mutant beasts also turn to porcelain?"
Granny Sha, her face turning pale, whispered, "Eat people?"
It was almost inevitable!
"Hehe, a hundred days of Demon Transformation, this place might become a hundred times more horrifying than the underworld! But..."
The old granny straightened up, returned inside her house, picked up the Sheep Horn Heavenly Spirit Lamp, and walked out, "Fighting the underworld won’t work. Fighting you, will!"
In Fangdian Village, Jin Hongying wasn’t wearing her usual bright red dress, but had changed into a floral peasant dress, looking indistinguishable from a village girl, utterly lacking her usual heroic and enchanting allure.
She sat next to the Granny of Fangdian Village, basking in the sun, holding a bowl of rice soup with scarce few grains.
During these days, she had been covertly healing in Fangdian Village. She had been injured several times consecutively, first by King Xiao, then by the aura of an old monster in the coffins of Mirror Lake Villa, and later by Chen Yindou’s booming voice. None of the injuries were severe on their own, but accumulated, they were quite serious.
The sunlight seemed draped in a layer of red gauze, casting down without warmth.
Jin Hongying tried to eat the rice, spitting it out immediately.
The rice was inedible, chewy like sand in her mouth.
"A demon-level disaster... these days I’ve been hiding in Fangdian Village, healing. I’m seventy to eighty percent recovered, but to encounter this. Damn it! If I hadn’t been pursued by King Xiao, my Divine Mechanism Camp could have fought and exorcised the demon! Sadly, King Xiao left us crippled!"
