Chapter 120: Your Wife is Pregnant

Chapter 120: Chapter 120: Your Wife is Pregnant

Li Wei was embarrassed.

She knew she had misspoken, but she couldn’t bring herself to apologize and simply shut her mouth, saying nothing more.

Dr. Qiao looked at her disappointedly and, without giving her further attention, stepped forward to assist in the surgery.

Shen Yanhe stood in front of the operating table, watching Shen Huai, whose body was full of tubes and whose breathing was growing weaker, with a flash of pain in her eyes.

She slowly took a few deep breaths, completely putting aside her own emotions, took out the Golden Needle she carried, and meticulously disinfected each one.

When Dr. Qiao saw Shen Yanhe take out the Golden Needle, a hint of shock appeared on his face, but he remained silent, standing quietly to the side, watching Shen Yanhe work.

Li Wei, having regained her composure from her embarrassment, felt a surge of absurdity when she saw Shen Yanhe wiping the Golden Needle.

Golden Needle?

Could this person really believe that by just sticking a few needles into acupoints, she could snatch Shen Huai back from the clutches of death?

Was she joking with her?

This wasn’t a TV drama!

Li Wei’s heart, which had been in her throat, now completely dropped, and she looked on with a touch of scorn in her eyes.

That Mr. Fu must really be desperate, to have directly brought in a quack doctor!

Now, if the patient died under this doctor’s care, she could clear herself completely.

Shen Yanhe paid no attention to the surrounding eyes, whether shocked, curious, or mocking. After sterilizing the Golden Needle, she took a brief moment to gaze at Shen Huai’s pale face.

Her slender fingers held the needle and deftly made the insertion.

Baihui, Renzhong, Hegu, Yongquan.

She used the needle with releasing techniques, combining lifting, thrusting, twirling, and turning.

Then she inserted needles at the Shaoshang, Yinbai, Daling, Shenmai, and Fengfu acupoints.

Her needle technique was swift and precise, with movements that showed no hesitation, completed in one go.

Dr. Qiao watched tensely as Shen Yanhe inserted the last needle, holding his breath for Shen Huai’s reaction.

Amazingly, as soon as she inserted the last needle, the heart rate that had been gradually decreasing suddenly increased.

Blood pressure and all other bodily functions were on the rise.

Dr. Qiao’s eyes widened in shock, his excited breathing becoming rapid.

It was actually effective!

A nurse couldn’t help exclaiming, "Director! The patient is responding!"

Shen Yanhe’s indifferent gaze fell on the ongoing bone marrow transplant surgery and said crisply, "Continue with the surgery, I will assist you."

Dr. Qiao suppressed his excited heart, "Okay!"

The operating room became busy once again.

Li Wei’s eyes widened in disbelief at the scene before her, her hands and feet going cold, her face looking terribly ugly.

Just a few needles, and Shen Huai was actually saved!

It’s over!

She had failed, offended the director again, what was she to do now?

Li Wei belatedly felt fear, her steps retreating continuously until she took advantage of the operating room’s busy moment to open the door and flee.

Outside the corridor, Fu Yanhe saw the woman rush out of the operating room in haste.

Noticing that she was headed toward the stairs rather than the more convenient elevator, his eyes deepened, and he said in a deep voice, "San Fang, follow her."

San Fang nodded, "Yes," and silently followed behind Li Wei.

This surgery lasted a full seventeen hours.

Shen Huai’s bone marrow transplant finally concluded without incident, and he was transferred to a custom intensive care unit for final observation.

Outside the operating room.

Dr. Qiao, dripping with sweat, removed his face mask and extended his hand to Shen Yanhe, expressing both excitement and admiration.

"All thanks to Miss Shen. Without you, Shen Huai’s operation wouldn’t have been possible. You’ve worked hard, Miss Shen."

After being tense for over ten hours, Shen Yanhe relaxed and a wave of indefensible exhaustion surged through her, causing her vision to darken and a faint pain in her lower abdomen.

But she still had something important to do.

"Dr. Qiao, you have worked hard as well," Shen Yanhe, removing her sweat-soaked mask, said as she reached out and shook hands with Dr. Qiao.

"Shen Huai’s operation was fraught with danger but a success. However, I personally believe that his sudden shock during the surgery is somewhat mysterious."

"I hope Dr. Qiao will assist me in the investigation."

Dr. Qiao nodded in understanding.

He also found the situation peculiar.

Having examined Shen Huai before, all his health reports were satisfactory.

As long as he wasn’t exposed to germs, he should have successfully completed the bone marrow transplant surgery.

For this reason, he had specifically called for a sterilization officer to deeply disinfect the operating room. Apart from medical disinfection, they also used ultraviolet sterilization to ensure not a single germ would be present.

But despite such precautions, an accident still occurred, and he felt a sense of guilt towards Mr. Fu’s trust, repeatedly assuring him that he would thoroughly investigate.

Shen Yanhe expressed her gratitude to him, and they parted ways.

She had barely taken a few steps when her vision started to black out, dizziness set in, and her lower abdomen felt a cold, sinking pain.

Shen Yanhe’s body swayed slightly, instinctively reaching out to brace herself against the wall, when a warmth suddenly enveloped her hand.

Her legs lifted off the ground, and she landed in a warm embrace. A deep, magnetic voice reached her, "Are you alright?"

Hearing the familiar voice of the man.

Shen Yanhe mustered her strength to look up at him. Her nerves finally fully relaxed, her vision went black, and her body went limp against Fu Yanhe’s chest, as she fell into unconsciousness.

Fu Yanhe’s complexion changed, his pupils suddenly contracted, his eyes darkened completely.

The hand holding Shen Yanhe tightened involuntarily, veins bulging on his hand.

A sense of panic he had never experienced before suddenly struck his heart.

"Si Fang," his voice was cold and stern, tinged with urgency and an uncontrollable sense of panic, "Call the doctor!"

Startled by the unprecedented panic in his voice, Si Fang quickly ran to find a doctor. "Yes!"

Amidst the ensuing chaos.

Dr. Qiao, who was about to rest, was pulled back to perform a full-body examination on Shen Yanhe and had her sent to the ward.

Fu Yanhe closely followed Shen Yanhe every step of the way.

Now sitting beside the bed, his broad hand tightly holding hers, he looked at Dr. Qiao with a deep, dark gaze, and his voice was slightly hoarse.

"How is she?"

"It’s nothing serious," Dr. Qiao said as he reviewed the report in his hand. "She fainted due to excessive nervous tension and over-exhaustion. She also has some low blood..."

When he turned to the last ultrasound report, Dr. Qiao froze as he saw the clinical diagnosis: early pregnancy.

Fu Yanhe saw Dr. Qiao stop speaking abruptly, his face becoming graver. His dark eyes intensively fixed on Dr. Qiao

Unconsciously exerting a suppressive atmosphere, yet his tone remained quite calm, "Is there some serious problem with her health?"

"Not a problem per se, some minor issues, but they all pale in comparison to this one."

Dr. Qiao took the ultrasound report, smiled, and handed it to Fu Yanhe. "Congratulations, Mr. Fu."

"Your wife is pregnant."
