Chapter 327: Ritual Banishment

Chapter 327: Ritual Banishment

I smiled lightly as the demon formed a pair of clawed arms and tried to scratch the curse away, but it remained no matter how much it clawed, tore and shredded it away.

My power and authority as a princess? Of Hell? Well, regardless of how much it tried, I was superior to it in every way, so it would never be able to overpower my power and erase the cursed mark from its tainted soul.

Speaking of the mark itself, over all, it was rather large, decently sized but not too big either, being a total of about twelve centimetres in shape and size.

And throughout the whole process, it had not stopped screaming for a single second, its screeching voice grinding away at my ears with a cacophany of several hellish shrieks all at once. Not doubt from the many souls it has consumed over the years.

I was able to at least drown them out whilst I was focused on carving the Curse into the demon’s soul, but no one else seemed to manage to block the sounds out. Evident by everyone curling up on the floor, using their tails as a wall to block out the noise.

Thankfully, they had grown quieter the moment I finished imprinting this weird curse symbol into the demon’s forehead.

Now? The only sound that it was making was the sound of cries and whimpers alongside flesh being rended and bones being scraped into oblivion, to the point where they crack and shatter like glass.

Typical and common behaviour for biblical hell-spawn like this, they always look down on and savour crushing those weaker than them, regardless of their race, gender or origin. Well, if they know that they have a strong backing, then maybe not, but most of the time, at least here in the mortal plane, they cease giving a shit.

As for when they meet an actually strong person, they will either kiss their ass to gain favour and later betray them, or become wholly subservient if they can provide everything they desire, such as amenities and protection. They’d still betray if someone can provide a better deal though.

And it’s their naturally arrogant nature is what drives them to act this way, crushing the weak and serving those stronger than them for their own selfish benefit.

Fortunately, the Circle of Lust, my father’s domain, is not like this, at least not anymore. He’s changed it more to a merit based system, though, it was only because Lucifer did that, with some of the Sins following suit, whilst others didn’t.

You’ll still find a fair amount of backstabbing regardless of which Circle you’re in though.

Anyways, regardless of the inner workings of Hell, now that this blight has been marked, I just need a way to banish it back to the fiery pits from whence it came.

But before I could, I felt a tugging within my soul. but it didn’t come directly from my soul or deeper within or anything, no, it was more like a string being gently tugged on.

And the only thing I could think of that could possibly be doing this, was the Lust Book. I was about to summon it out when my escape out of here was readied.

Now there were three things that I had to do now. The first was banish this demon, the second, get the fuck out of here, and lastly, see why I can feel the Lust book rattling inside my soul.

*Sigh*

I look up as I sigh, ’What was the banishment ritual again? An upsidedown pentagram in a rune circle as the base, then it was... Fuck, which runes am I supposed to use again? Or are runes even needed?’

As I tried recalling this knowledge taught to me by my father, I was interupted by the Duchess, who thought it would be a good idea to make herself known after what she just witnessed.

"What have you done?!?"

I did not bother giving her the vindication of being acknowledged and just continued pondering as I created the ritual circle floating in front of the demon, filling it with the power of my infernal fire.

"Answer me!!!" The Duchess yelled in a crazed manner to grab my attention.

Once again, I ignored her and focused on the banishment ritual. Fortunately, I remembered how to do it, and began.

"Thraanz, Zaegrin." I spoke some ancient words in demonic tongue, and their corresponding glyphs appeared within the circle with a sinister light, that caused all the light in the area to be drawn to it causing an eery light to shine over me and the demon.

"Throvek, Zaegrin, Tharzik. Khaezer, Zaegrin, Kaelorgz. Vaenoth, Throvanis, Zaeveris. Vaenoth, Kaezrak. Vaenoth, Vralgor Throvel, Zaegrin. Vaegrin, Vrelorb. Vaenoth, Ghazhra, Zaegrin, Ghaedak."

All of those word were inscribed onto the ritual circle as I spoke them. Whenever I needed to separate each phrase to start a new one, I just paused for a second and spoke them again.

I was about to say the final words when I noticed that the air in here was thick with tension and dismay. Not just from the Duchess and her crew, but also from the demon, who knew exactly what I was saying and what would likely await it when the final word was said.

The power emanating from both, the ritual, and my words as they rang out for all to hear, causing everyone to fall silent in trepidation.

I smiled. ’I think I like this. This feeling of ultimate domination over those who are beneath me.’

I didn’t realise it, but at some point, I must have raised my arms in front of me. I paid it no mind as I opened my mouth and spoke the last word to finalise the ritual.

"Zorvaen~" and I did it with a gleeful smile on my face as I watched the ritual circle flare up.

The ritual circle began to emanate a blindingly bright light that forced me to cover my eyes. I couldn’t see obviously, but I imagine everyone else was doing the same.

The next thing that the ritual circle did was blast a wave of [Hell Fire] in all directions.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

There was a high pitched, hysterical shriek of terror, not from the Duchess behind me, but from the demon.

The reason for this was because although the fire was hot, it wasn’t your typical fire from Hell. It was a magical kind of fire, one that imposed the laws of Hell itself, and burned away the fleshy mortal body the demon resided in and dragged its soul straight down to Hell.

Soon though, both the screams and the light died down and now there was just a smoking, blackened patch of ash where the demon once was.

I looked down at the patch with scorn and contempt, glad that the demon was gone and would never bother me again.

With a deep breath, I then turned around to look at the Duchess and her followers, all cowering in fear at me.

My smile came back bigger than before as I said, "Goodbye." And teleported away to the city outskirts.
