Chapter 207: Improbability
(Kronia POV)
I watched as Traytora keeled over, her body heating up and shaking under the pain. She’s not the first person that I’ve told about this method before, and everyone who’s done it before, including myself, has had to go through extreme amounts of pain, just like this.
At some point I had to drag her over to the fence so that she had something to lean on. I also helped her out by using a soothing spell to help relax her body a bit more as she continued making her Mana Core.
She didn’t tell me where she was going to put it but that didn’t matter, so long as she didn’t put it anywhere that would kill her... I hope she hasn’t done something like that.
Either way, all I could do now was reassure her, guide her and comfort her in any way possible.
After some time though, the pain seemed to get worse within her body as she collapsed off of the fence and nearly fell to the floor if not for the fact that I caught her, which is a lie. I actually just stopped her time and got some pillows and set them up and pushed her into them, otherwise she might’ve hit her head on the fencing, which would cause this to go so very wrong.
I could se her writhe in agony as she put all her focus on creating her Mana Core, not knowing what it was doing to her body, which was worrying as the after shocks looked to be ravaging her body to shreds.
There wasn’t anything that I could do to help the poor girl other than try and soothe her body. So, I just had to sit there and watch in worry as she continued to writhe in pain from forming her Mana Core.

After a few gruelling hours that didn’t pass by, she seemed to be nearly done by the way her mana resonance was fluctuating like it was reaching a higher state of being.
And after another few painful minutes that also didn’t technically pass, I could tell that she had completed forming her core based on the fact that her mana had finally run dry, so now her Core should have been formed.
But as I saw her relaxing and started to shake her to not lose focus and keep on concentrating as the current state of her body was pure chaos and if she couldn’t get it under control, then it would freak out and destroy the Mana Core instinctually.
Unfortunately, it didn’t seem like she was able to hear me with her cloudy looking eyes.
That’s when they suddenly focused and looked at me with a look that told me to run. I stood horrified as I stopped her time flow to see if there was anything that I could do to prevent this.
So I examined her body and saw what she had done. She had created her Mana Core directly in her heart. And I was unfortunately too late to stop it as I could see signs of it shattering already.
With some reluctant tears I moved her into the middle of the pathway before resuming her time once again.
I watched as she suddenly burst into flames. That must have been the element that she had chosen to use as her element.
I cried silent tears as I watched as an entire patch of land be incinerated by intense flames that mixed with several other elements, but mainly the astral element. I turned away and started walking back and was about to head back to my cabin on the other side of the farm when I noticed that the fire had stopped.
I turned around to look and although a portion of earth had disappeared, Traytora’s body was still there, and in perfect condition no less. In fact, it looked even better than before.
I ran over to the small pit that the flames had created and slid down to Traytora’s side and checked on her body, and it seemed to be perfectly fine, no traces of what happened earlier anywhere along her body.
’Just what is going on with this girl?’ I questioned in my mind as I took a deeper and more thorough look at her body, more specifically, her heart. And what I saw was impossible.
"N-No... There’s no way..." I muttered as I got back on my feet and took a couple of steps back.
’This... This is... No, there’s no way that can be true... Right?"
With an unsteady and shaky hand, I crouched back down and checked her heart again and what I thought was true. I checked the rest of her organs and nothing was out of place except for the slight increase in vitality.
With uneasy step, I backed away from this monstrous girl in fear. Nobody should have that. That’s not something that can just be achieved as easily as she did. It’s impossible.
’No, no, no, no, no, no...’ I clasped my head in denial as I frantically scratched my head, trying to figure out how this made any sense.
’Maybe... Maybe her father had a hand in making this. Yes, that must be the case!’
Then I heard the whisper of her father, Asmodeus himself denying my thoughts.
My mind went into a panic upon hearing that, not only because I heard the voice of Asmodeus, which made me blush, but because of the words he said.
"I played no part in this."
Those were his words. That meant that this was all Traytora. She did this all on her own.
But that’s impossible, nobody is able to create such a thing on their own like this. No one. It usually takes several centuries before anyone is able to even try, and even then, the chances of success are so slim that no sane person even bothers to do any preparation because the resources could be put to better use in other things.
But she didn’t even prepare to do this, she was just trying to create a Mana Core.
And yet, she accomplished this...
When was the last time someone even managed to successfully do this? The last records of someone doing this without dying was over several thousands of years ago, and they might not even be alive anymore as all records of their information have been lost to time.
It’s also possible that they didn’t even succeed with how little information about them is recorded.
But lying here before me is proof that it’s possible.
I never believed that it was possible to create one, or that I would ever get the chance to meet someone who did it. Hell, I even guided her to accidentally create one.
’Wh-What am I supposed to do now?’

(Traytora POV)
After some time I awoke in a familiar place.
Great... I was back in the inner void of my soul where those two giant serpents resided within me.
