Chapter 77: The Ties That Bind
Presently...
Lucian lay back on the plush bedding, a lazy smile tugging at the corners of his mouth as he watched the scene before him unfold. Julian and Amarok were in the throes of passion, completely engrossed in each other as they intertwined their bodies, lost in a rhythm only they understood.
Amarok’s head was thrown back, beads of sweat trickling down his neck, as he rode Julian with abandon, his moans filling the room like a symphony. Julian’s hands gripped Amarok’s hips tightly, his fingers digging into the flesh as he thrust upward, meeting Amarok’s every movement.
Lucian didn’t need to join in; he was content to watch this time. They had already had their way with him earlier, and now, he found satisfaction in seeing his brother and their lover indulge in each other. It was a sight he’d grown used to, and yet, it never ceased to amuse him.
His twin and Amarok were hypersexual, that much was clear, and he loved them for it. Watching them now, he couldn’t help but reflect on how far they had come.
There had been a time when neither he nor Julian had believed they would find someone who could handle both of them, someone who could match their desires and share in their unique bond. And then Amarok had arrived, thrown into their lives by chance, and nothing had been the same since.
A moan from Amarok brought Lucian out of his thoughts. He watched as his lover threw his head back, his body shuddering with pleasure as Julian’s hips thrust upward again, sliding deeper inside him. Lucian smirked, amusement flickering in his eyes. Amarok was insatiable, just like Julian, and Lucian had no complaints.
He stretched lazily, rolling over onto his side to watch them more closely. "They’re perfect together," he mused, though a part of him longed to rejoin the fray. "But not right now. Let them have their fun."
"Yeah, right there... Julian!" Amarok’s voice cracked, and Julian grinned up at him, his hands guiding Amarok’s movements as he pleasured himself on top of him. The bed creaked beneath them, their moans and the slick sound of skin on skin filling the room.
Lucian chuckled softly under his breath, feeling a strange sense of pride and contentment as he watched his brother and lover together. "How did we ever live without him?" he thought. But before the thought could take root, the familiar sound of footsteps echoed down the hall.

Meanwhile, at the Valeidio Border.
Ella Warcrest’s laughter rang out as she leaped over the fence, her violet eyes bright with joy. She was playing with the soldiers’ children, dodging and weaving as they tried to catch her, their small hands grasping at the air. Her brother, Theo, stood nearby, watching her with a fond smile. Even though they were far from home, Ella always found a way to bring life wherever she went.
Theo’s purple eyes, a distinct mark of the Warcrest bloodline, scanned the horizon. He was a seasoned warrior, and though he loved his sister dearly, he was always on alert, especially out here at the border. The winds from the Zephyros Mountains carried tension with them, and the looming political wedding only added to the unease in the air.
Suddenly, a rider galloped toward them, dust trailing behind him. Theo straightened, recognizing the royal messenger by his crest. The rider stopped, dismounting quickly and bowing.
"General, a letter from the palace," the messenger said, handing Theo a sealed scroll before bowing again and leaving.
Theo’s brow furrowed as he accepted the letter. Ella noticed the change in his demeanor and quickly playfully shooed the children away and ran over to her brother, eyes wide with excitement.
"A letter from the palace?" she asked, her voice laced with anticipation.
"Seems so," Theo replied, as he ran his fingers over the wax seal, noting its importance. He hesitated, staring at the letter as if it held secrets he wasn’t ready to unveil.
" What does it say? " Ella curiosity piqued.
Theo turning the letter over in his hands, still eyeing the royal seal.
"Well, what are you waiting for?" Ella teased, nudging him playfully. "Open it! Or do you need an invitation?"
Theo chuckled at her playful tone but quickly grew serious again as he broke the seal and unfolded the letter.
As he read, his face slowly shifted from curiosity to a hardened expression. Ella’s eagerness only grew with every passing second, and she fidgeted impatiently.
"Hmm..." Theo sighed after reading it.
"What is it?" Ella demanded, trying to peek over his shoulder.
Theo turned to his sister, his eyes shadowed with concern. " Seems like our beloved cousin is getting married.
Ella blinked, processing his words. "Eirik? He’s getting married? To who?"
Theo hesitated, his gaze distant as he considered the implications of the news. "To Kaelix, Crown Prince of Zephyros," He replied grimly.
The name hit Ella like a punch to the gut. Her face twisted in disgust, her fists clenching at her sides. "What?! To that bull-headed prince? Are you serious?
"Yes," Theo sighed, running a hand through his hair. "It’s for the sake of peace between the kingdoms."
"Peace? What peace?" Ella spat, her anger bubbling up. "Eirik deserves better than Kaelix! He deserves someone who will cherish him, not that stubborn, arrogant fool! How could they do this to him?"
Theo remained silent, his face tense with frustration. He understood her anger, he felt it too, but there was little they could do. Eirik’s marriage was a political necessity, and no amount of anger could change that.
Ella paced back and forth, muttering under her breath. "This is ridiculous. Eirik deserves to be loved, not used as a bargaining chip."
"I know," Theo said softly. "But this is the path we have to take, for now."
"Are we going to the wedding?" Ella asked, her voice still tinged with frustration.
"Of course," Theo replied with a smirk. "I wouldn’t miss it for anything."
Ella jammed her fists together, her violet eyes blazing. "Wait till I meet that Kaelix. "
Theo chuckled, but he knew his sister wasn’t joking.
"This wedding is going to be interesting," he thought. "Very interesting indeed."

Back in the palace, Lucian stretched lazily as he heard footsteps approaching their chambers. Julian and Amarok had collapsed in a tangle of limbs, content and sated for now. The sound of knocking interrupted their peace, and Lucian called out, "Enter."
A servant stepped in, bowing deeply. "Your Highnesses, a letter has arrived from General Warcrest at the border."
Lucian exchanged a glance with Julian, who was still catching his breath. "Warcrest, hmm? I wonder what Theo and Ella have to say about Eirik’s upcoming wedding."
With a knowing smile, Lucian rose from the bed.
The Warcrest family would surely stir things up, and Lucian had no doubt that his mischievous twin, Julian, would enjoy every moment of the chaos to come.
