Chapter 165: BLOODY NIGHT

Both of them was in the throes of pleasure when someone entered the room upon hearing the muffle voices inside and to their horror, it was the royal beta.

"Wh- what...?" Leonard was lost for word when he caught the sight before his eyes.

The queen was bent over the table, but naked with Killian was standing behind her, mid thrust, half naked as well. Even blind people could understand what transpired here.

Pushing Killian away from her, Nycta scrambled to put down her dress, she blanched. "This... this is not how it looks like..." she stuttered, her mind was racing to find an excuse that could get her out of this situation, but she couldn’t find anything. "Beta Leonard, this is... this is not..."

The royal beta finally snapped from his shock when Nycta was already in front of him, she grabbed his hand and knelt down. Stream of tears on her cheeks, as she talked incoherently, asking for mercy.

"Please, don’t tell this to the king, this is a mistake. No. This is a mistake..." Nycta shook her head vigorously. All the pleasure that she felt just a moment ago and the thrill of being caught were not worth it. She dreaded her life now.

On the other hand, Killian put on his pants again slowly, his expression remained calm. There was no remorse whatsoever on his face.

"How could you do this to the king, queen Nycta?" Leonard swatted her hand that held him and this gesture put her in panic. She tried to grab his hand again, but the royal beta stepped back. "GUARD!" he shouted, which freaked out Nycta even more.

However, before the guards could come, Leonard pulled Nycta up. She was still the queen of this kingdom and if someone saw her kneeling down in front of him, they could draw a wrong conclusion.

Still, the four guards, who came upon his call, looked at the queen with confusion. Nycta looked like a mess. Her hair was not in its place and her face was so red because of the crying.

"Arrest him!" Leonard pointed his finger at Killian, who had dressed decently now.

The guards looked confused, but they did what they were told and approached Killian. The head warrior of the queen didn’t even put a fight, he followed them out. Killian didn’t even glance Nycta, but his sharp eyes fixed on Leonard, who glared back at him.

Meanwhile, Nycta lowered her head, she was too ashamed to even look at Leonard or Killian.

Dark. Dark and more dark. It was cold now. This was not the comfort of her room with the fire in the fireplace.

Zuri opened her eyes, but it was still the same. Only darkness that greeted her. Though she couldn’t see, she knew she was not inside her room.

"Kh- Khaos?"

She hated herself for calling his name the first thing she did. She did it out of instinct and he was the first person that came to her mind, even though he was one of the sources of her pain.

It was not the fluffy bed, but solid ground beneath her. The coldness bit her skin. There was no trace of warmth whatsoever.

"Khaos?"

Zuri raised her hand only to realize that she had been chained. The burning sensation on her wrists and ankles letting her know that she was chained with silver. One of the methods to prevent her from shifting into her beast.

"Khaos! Khaos! Khaos!"

Her voice echoed. She didn’t have any idea where she was. Everything was so scary for her, especially when she couldn’t see.

And as if to make matter worse, she started to hear the voices in her head, telling her all the horrible things that she didn’t want to hear.

"Aarrghhh!!!" Zuri hit her own head with her fists, in attempt to stop the voices. They were not helping at all. They scared her more than anything.

She was not able to see anything and Khaos was not here, she knew he was not here and now, she was in this strange place. She was going to be consumed by her own madness.

Bit by bit, her sanity was chipped in.

When hitting her own head didn’t work, Zuri started to venture her surroundings, but the chain refrained her from moving further away, the only thing that she could feel was this chain and the wall behind her.

"Stop! Stop! Stop!"

Zuri slammed her head against the wall, she didn’t stop even when blood oozed out from her wound, but suddenly someone yanked her and held her down, preventing her from hurting herself even more.

"No, Zuri! Stop! Stop!"

The voice was familiar, Zuri knew who was this, but he was not the one that she wanted.

"Zuri, please stop! Don’t fight me!" Rhett yelled at her, as he tackled her down to the ground. It took a lot of effort for him to calm her down, but once Zuri stopped struggling, both of them were panting, exhausted. "It’s okay... everything will be okay, you need to trust me, okay?"

Zuri didn’t answer that, she stared at the distance. She couldn’t see the dim light of this room, she couldn’t see her surroundings, but she knew it was Rhett.

"Let’s finish the curse, okay?" Rhett finally said, as he loosened his grip on her. "Your pain will be over soon enough. It’s okay, Zuri. I will take care of you. I will do everything for you to survive this."

Still, Zuri didn’t answer him, instead she was mumbling something incoherently.

"What? What did you say?" Rhett asked, he moved closer to her, so he could get the word that she said. "Zuri, what did you say?"

His ear was close enough to her lips, where he heard what she said.

"I am going to kill you."

And it was too late for Rhett to move away when Zuri bit down his ear, tearing it apart and Rhett’s scream echoed throughout the walls.
