After days of long travel, battles, and navigating the harsh seas, Zoey had finally reached the mystical town of Vedrynn. The town was in sight, and with that, he Trial would be complete and she would be able to leave this place.

"Land ahoy!" A pirate yelled as he used his telescope to see the town of Vedrynn in sight, a wicked grin plastered on their faces as they finally reached the awaited place.

’I guess this is it, another Trial complete I suppose.’ Zoey thought, steering the ship as she stared at the town of Vedrynn with her [Heightened Senses] Talent, zooming in on the place with her enhanced vision.

The sails were immediately withdrawn and the anchor planted deeply into the ocean sand, as Zoey had finally reached Vedrynn, clearing the Trial.

The portal that would take her back to her world materialized right before her eyes, and she let out a small exhale, stepping off the ship.

If I were to wear the [Ring Of The Ocean] and use [Water Sword Slash] in battle, the damage would be far greater as the skill would be level 100.’ Zoey thought with a small grin on her face, her eyes gleaming for a moment.

But before she could continue to contemplate, the system surprises her once more with another message.

’Oh? I completed a Secret Task by getting rid of those assasins?’ She thought, intrigued, but decided not to dwell on it too much. Her eyes were practically shining as she recalled that these were the Skills used by Kieran, the [Sacred Flames Enchantment] sounding very similar to the blue fire sword technique Kieran had used during their battle.

Plus the addition of her first ever A-Rank Skill, she was practically screaming inside from joy as she held her first ever Ascendant Ranking Skill Book her hands, she could feel the power radiating from it being enough to far outclass the C-Rank and B-Rank Skills she had, and if she were to bring this skill to it’s peak....

’I can’t wait!’ She thought, deciding to absorb the Skills later as she felt a large rush of pride and excitement flowing through her being. But she had to be patient.

"Captain! What is that?" Evan asked, looking at the portal that had suddenly appeared in the middle of the street, scaring away civilians as they were immediately terrified upon seeing such a thing, assuming it to be a Dungeon appearing in the middle of the streets.

Dungeons weren’t uncommon in this world, it was the main reason pirates and other people alike were able to get their abilities through Awakening. However, despite that, Dungeons were incredibly rare to find and raid in this world.

Because of the massive expanse of sea, Dungeons can appear anywhere in this vast Atlantic world of water, and because of the water, Dungeons most often break on the seas.

And because some monsters can’t swim or have the abilities to fly, they mostly drown or get sunk beneath the sea, lurking deep into the frightening waters. It was a sort of blessing to have so much water, but also a sort of curse.

Technology in this world isn’t very advanced in comparison to her own world, so Hunters weren’t even acknowledged as an organization in this world, and only the Resistance served as the closest thing related to the Hunter Association.

They hunt down monsters and clear dungeons, but most of all, they kill and hunt down the wretched sailors of the sea known as pirates.

"Don’t worry about it Evan, it’s not a Dungeon." Zoey says, looking into the distance. Far out in the outskirts of Vedrynn, is where the Ancient Tomb Of Larcov is, the place where the [Hydra’s Tear] will serve it’s purpose.

"Come, we don’t have all day for this." Zoey spoke, clapping her hands as she immediately got the attention of her entire crew, walking through the streets of the town.

"Captain, are we going towards Larcov’s Ancient Tomb? Right now?" A curious member of her crew asked, to which Zoey nodded.

"That’s right, there are other pirates here with us on this island, and I don’t wish to deal with them, so we’re going to be the first to uncover the treasures of Larcov." She said, her voice full of determination.

’I could just end the Trial and decide to call it a day, but the thought of exploring Larcov’s Ancient Tomb, and the possibility of completing more Secret Tasks is also a huge motivating factor for me.’ Zoey thought, clenching her fists.

Secret Tasks were pracitcally gold mines inside of the Trials of the Tower Of Hera, and their rewards eclipsed those found in Dungeons. She had only been a Hunter for five days, and now she had already laid her hands on an Ascendant Ranking Skill Book, while literally being a B-Rank Hunter just a day ago.
