Out of curiosity, I followed Old Colt and the others to the study, and there we indeed found a hidden passage–it seemed to be left from a long time ago. Everyone was excited, and so was I. (Mary uses a tranquilizer)

“…..We went into the tunnel. The tunnel forked into two paths; the one leading eastward had collapsed quite some time ago. I lit the dynamite, demolishing the entire tunnel……”

“……then I escaped from the mansion, I found the police and explained the situation, hoping they could do something about it. However, they just considered me a lunatic……”

Just then, Duanmu Huai’s voice rang out.

“From the police’s point of view, it was clear these were hallucinations Winscott had due to excessive fear. Of course, for the layman, this conclusion seems the most plausible, as real-life isn’t a horror movie.”

“But how will we investigate now?”

Lorena also raised her doubts.

“Mr. Winscott mentioned that he had collapsed the passage leading to the underworld. In that case……”

“Isn’t it simple?”
