Chapter 227: Unprecedented

The military students was finally convinced. They quickly settled down, their eyes focused on the instructor, ready to listen.

Seeing the students had finally calmed down, Spears didn’t waste any more time. He pulled up a video file on the opticomputer and played it without delay.

As the video began, he turned to the class with a serious tone, "This is an official instructional video from the Military Research Institution. It covers the process of awakening Psychic Incarnation. Just follow along with what you see."

The students nodded and started watching the video intently.

Arix was also glued to the screen. Although she didn’t need to awaken Psychic Incarnation herself, her curiosity about the Academy’s method kept her attention locked in.

Among all the students, Elio and his group were the most taken aback. They had heard whispers from their families that ordinary people might someday be able to awaken Psychic Incarnation, but the details had always been murky.

Now, with the opportunity right in front of them, they watched the video with just as much interest as everyone else.

So, whether or not they had already awakened Psychic Incarnation, every student focused on the screen.

Arix recognized the instructor in the video that was explaining how to awaken Psychic Ware. He was the same older man from the Military Research Institution who had once explained the psychic power healing potion during a live broadcast.

If Arix remembered correctly, his name was Noland.

Despite the time that had passed, Noland was still as lively as ever. His face glowed with pride as he prepared to dive into the explanation of awakening Psychic Ware.

After a few deliberate coughs to clear his throat, he stared straight ahead, his intense gaze making it feel as though he was looking directly at each student.

"Hello, I’m Noland, the director of the Military Academy. Today, I’m here to explain the Psychic Ware that can help you awaken Psychic Incarnation." Noland’s tone was serious and formal.

But in the blink of an eye, it was like he flipped a switch. His face brightened with an almost obsessive excitement. "Before we dive into the details, I want to take a moment to praise the two individuals responsible for this groundbreaking invention. While I can’t share their identities due to certain constraints, I can tell you that their contributions rival those of the five founding heroes of the Alliance. One of them is especially extraordinary, without precedent or equal in history..."

He went on like this for a full ten minutes, leaving the students thoroughly perplexed. They exchanged confused glances and eventually looked to their instructor for clarification.

"Is this really an instructional video?"

Spears rubbed his forehead in frustration, letting out a helpless sigh.

He’d already raised concerns with the Military Academy about this, but since the video had been approved by the entire Academy, there was little he could do.

He figured they could treat it like a commercial break and just endure it.

The students shared awkward looks, none more so than Arix, who found herself the unintended subject of the praise.

What started as a shy blush turned into a deep crimson as she tried to shrink into herself. The situation wasn’t helped by Drexel, who knew the truth and kept sneaking amused glances her way, barely holding back his laughter.

Arix was so mortified she wished she could vanish into thin air. Through this painfully awkward experience, she learned a harsh truth: when some people give compliments, they really don’t consider how it might make others feel.

Just as Arix was about to hit her breaking point, Noland in the video finally got a nudge from the cameraman, reminding him that this was supposed to be an instructional video, not a tribute speech.

Reluctantly, Noland shifted gears, cutting off his endless praise to focus on the actual purpose of the video—explaining how to awaken Psychic Incarnation.

Everyone let out a collective sigh of relief and tuned in, ready to learn.

"First, take the Psychic Wares in your hand," Noland instructed, his tone now serious and focused. "Close your eyes, and slowly guide the energy from the Ware into your psychic world..."

Following his lead, all the military students closed their eyes and concentrated, diving deep into their psychic worlds.

Time ticked by slowly until, suddenly, one of the students broke the silence with a shout of excitement.

Unable to hold back her joy, she summoned her freshly awakened Psychic Incarnation—a tiny, fluffy hamster that appeared in her palm.

Though it was just a small hamster, she didn’t mind at all. In fact, she cuddled it with so much affection that it would have been a sweet scene if not for the hamster’s clearly reluctant expression.

As more time passed, the room buzzed with energy as more and more students successfully awakened their Psychic Incarnations. There were all sorts of creatures—cats, leopards, and even a pig...

Arix, intrigued by the variety, withdrew her gaze from the pig and began stroking her chin thoughtfully.

A pattern was starting to form in her mind: it seemed that the more powerful the Psychic Incarnation, the later it emerged.

As more time passed, the Psychic Incarnations that appeared became increasingly formidable, mostly fierce animals.

"Arix, check out my Psychic Incarnation! Isn’t it the cutest?" Deanna suddenly dashed over, her face lit up with excitement as she showed off a white rabbit nestled in her arms.

Arix glanced at the adorable bunny, happily munching on a carrot, and flashed a thumbs up. "Absolutely adorable," she agreed.

"Yup, I think so too." Deanna beamed, giving her rabbit a gentle pet before turning her curiosity back to Arix. "Arix, where’s your Psychic Incarnation?"

"Oh, I almost forgot! It’s still in my psychic world," Arix replied, suddenly realizing she hadn’t called out her own. Not wanting to be left out, she mentally asked her three little ones who wanted to come out for the competition.

In the blink of an eye, Cupid was the first to appear. The small winged tiger leaped into Arix’s arms and, in a friendly gesture, raised a paw toward Deanna with a soft, "Awooo."

Deanna’s eyes widened with delight as she eagerly shook Cupid’s paw. "Arix, your Psychic Incarnation looks just like your beast form!" she exclaimed in surprise.

Arix nodded, affectionately stroking Cupid’s fur, feeling a warm connection between them.
