Chapter 191: Psychic Incarnation
"I’ve found something good about our new mentor," the Class S student said with relief. "At least she’s not like Marlone, who had double standards. Even Arix had to drink the juice today."
"Really? That makes me feel so much better! Thanks for telling me," another student responded, their previously dull eyes lighting up with excitement.
The news spread quickly among the classmates, and the reaction was the same all around. Everyone went from feeling down to suddenly motivated and energized.
Soon, the entire Class S had a new attitude. They stopped seeing Jonna as an intimidating figure and began to respect and even like her. They appreciated that she treated everyone equally, unlike Marlone, who had clear favorites.
Those who had experienced Marlon’s favoritism felt a sense of relief. For example, even though Arix had the same achievements as the rest of the class, Marlone would only give others a simple "Well done," while Arix got extensive praise, sometimes even involving compliments to her family.
This kind of favoritism left a deep sense of unfairness among the students. So, seeing Jonna’s fair treatment today made them feel it was worth it.
They decided that even if they had to drink strange juice every day, it was a small price to pay compared to dealing with Marlone’s favoritism.
That shocked Arix for a bit. But if that was what made everyone happy, she decided not to accept it and just see it as a good deed. She shook her head and turned her attention to Jonna, who was calling everyone to gather.
"I’m not satisfied with today’s training," Jonna began, her sharp gaze landing on five students who had their heads down. "Especially those who took more than 40 minutes. There are five of you."
The rest of the students kept quiet, knowing that these five might be demoted to Class A.
"But," Jonna continued, pausing to get everyone’s attention, "since it seems like you all enjoyed my juice, I’ll let it slide this time. But remember, there won’t be a next time."
The five students sighed in relief and thanked Jonna, while the rest of the class applauded, genuinely happy for them.
The training session ended on a positive note, and the new mentor, Jonna, had successfully integrated with the group.
Despite the odd juice, all the students gave her positive reviews.
...
A month had passed. Besides attending her classes, Arix spent all her time researching her new Psychic Ware, which could help ordinary people form Psychic Incarnation.
With Talrin’s notes, Arix had a rough idea of how to proceed, but she felt like something was missing when carving the Psychic Ware. Without figuring this out, Arix was sure she couldn’t create the Psychic Ware she wanted.
She held the Insectoid Core in one hand and the carving tool in the other but hesitated. After thinking for a long time without any new ideas, Arix decided to seek help from the four experts in her psychic world.
Hearing Arix’s request, Sylvana brought Cupid and the others out. The four of them sat around the table. Cupid enthusiastically asked, "Arix, is there a problem we can help you with?"
Arix nodded, looking serious. "I have a problem and need your advice."
Cupid smiled warmly and said, "Arix, tell us, we’ll definitely help." Sylvana and the others nodded in agreement.
Seeing everyone was willing to help, Arix thanked them and explained her problem. "According to Talrin’s notes, to give someone a Psychic Incarnation, their psychic power must be completely condensed in the psychic world. This part is actually simple; the Psychic Ware can act as a medium. But the problem is, the Psychic Incarnation formed this way has no consciousness. It’s still just psychic power, only in a different form," Arix explained.
Then she looked at Sylvana and the others, asking, "What do you think?"
Sylvana and the others lowered their heads, deep in thought.
Cupid wanted to contribute, but after thinking for a while, he just got more confused. He scratched his bright red hair. Unable to say anything, he finally looked at Sylvana with sad puppy eyes, clinging to her arm.
Sylvana smiled and patted his head comfortingly.
Vita and Sophia looked at Cupid with disdain.
Sophia then looked at Arix and said, "You’re right, it’s still like psychic power. In other words, it’s just a materialized form of psychic power, not a true Psychic Incarnation."
Hearing Sophia’s words, Arix suddenly understood. It felt strange because this method was more like creating a psychic weapon.
She opened her palm and materialized a scalpel, then changed it to look like Cupid and the others. Everything looked the same but lacked the crucial element of life. The question was, how could she give it that life?
As Arix pondered, Sophia suddenly spoke up, "I have an idea."
"What idea?!" Arix’s eyes lit up with excitement as she looked at Sophia.
Sophia raised an eyebrow, smiling mischievously. "The method is simple, but it might require Vita to sacrifice a bit."
As soon as she finished speaking, everyone turned to look at Vita.
Vita wasn’t as clever as Sophia, but Sophia had made it clear enough for him to understand.
"Do we really have to do this?" Vita asked, feeling a bit resigned. Sophia smirked mischievously and said, "This is the simplest method. Don’t you want to help Arix?"
Arix also realized what was happening and felt a bit guilty and embarrassed, rubbing her nose. This method indeed required Vita to sacrifice a bit more.
"What exactly is this method? Why is everyone being so secretive?" Cupid pouted, feeling left out as everyone else seemed to understand something he didn’t.
Sylvana, not wanting Cupid to be upset, whispered the method to him.
After hearing it, Cupid rolled his eyes at Vita and said, "So it’s just about making Vita Crystal? I thought it was something big. Vita, you’re being dramatic."
Vita rolled his eyes, thinking, ’Of course, you wouldn’t understand; you’ve already got used to that process.’
Since Cupid had already spilled the beans, Vita couldn’t stay silent any longer. Resigned, he said to Arix, "I can provide Vita Crystal, but let’s be clear: I can only supply 300,000 pieces a month, no more."
Arix quickly nodded, worried that Vita might get too embarrassed and do something drastic.
Vita sighed in relief, then seemed to sink back into his thoughts.
Sophia chuckled quietly to herself before turning to Arix and saying, "Now that we’ve solved the problem, let’s head back."
"Okay," Arix nodded, watching them return to the psychic world. She then turned to Vita, who was still sitting in the chair, and asked with concern, "Vita, is there something else?"
Vita blushed, then hesitated before stammering, "Arix, if you want, I... I can make more Vita Crystal."
Arix was surprised for a moment, then she felt a warm and bittersweet sensation in her heart.
She walked over and hugged Vita, saying, "300,000 is enough, thank you, Vita."
Vita hadn’t expected the hug, and after a brief pause, he gently patted her. "No worries, I’m glad I can help you."
Arix’s smile deepened as Vita ruffled her hair. With Vita and the others around, she felt like she had a safe harbor—a sense of security, comfort, and belonging.
