Chapter 126: Test Over

Arix held back the urge to leave. She said, "Alright, I got it." With that, Arix stopped talking to Cupid and the others, focusing on the statue.

’So, what level will my bloodline purity be?’

As everyone waited eagerly, the emblem on the statue finally lit up. The bright red light made Arix so disappointed. ’Level one? Seriously?’

Seeing the red emblem, Arix wondered if maybe her human bloodline was suppressing her therian bloodline. With her Supergiant+ psychic power, it should be at least level six, well, or at least she thought so.

The Tiger clan members below the platform started murmuring. They didn’t believe that Admiral Scion’s favorite little cub was only a level-one. Thinking about the statue and the dual-colored situation earlier, everyone waited patiently again.

In Arix’s psychic world, the three little ones also looked suspiciously at the statue.

"Arix can’t possibly have just level one bloodline purity," Vita objected first.

"At least level six," Sophia nodded in agreement.

"Arix, maybe I should just swallow it," Cupid said, glaring at the statue with a pair of threatening little tiger fangs.

’Could it be that its energy was eaten up by Cupid earlier, so it’s not working right?’ Arix thought, recalling how the already faint energy had been drained further by Cupid.

Hearing what was going on in Arix’s mind, Cupid suddenly felt his little fangs get a bit cold. He blinked, and quickly retracted them, feeling a bit guilty.

Vita and Sophia also thought it made sense. After exchanging a glance, Vita suggested, "Let’s wait and see."

All three nodded simultaneously, thinking the idea was feasible, and once again looked at the statue’s forehead.

Sure enough, after a while, the red light of the totem gradually faded, replaced by an orange light. Seeing the orange light, everyone in the Holy Temple breathed a sigh of relief and started discussing again.

"See, how could the admiral’s cub only have level one bloodline purity?"

"Even level two is still too low for her. Will it change to level three next?"

"It’s possible."

The Tiger clan’s leader, Krylak, stared at the statue’s forehead, dumbfounded. "What’s this?" Krylak looked at the now yellow totem. Then, he turned to the four elders beside him in confusion.

The four elders exchanged glances and shook their heads simultaneously.

"It’s not in the clan’s records," the first elder, Faelan, stroked his long beard and shook his head.

"Never heard of it, never seen it," said the second elder, Rowtag, as he adjusted his old-fashioned glasses.

"Let’s wait and see," the third elder, Bran, suggested with a smile.

"Agreed," the fourth elder, Kylian, nodded indifferently.

Seeing the four elders speak, Krylak had to suppress his confusion and focus on the tiger statue again. Deep down, he was filled with anticipation. ’Will Arix really have level-six bloodline purity?’

As everyone eagerly watched, the emblem’s color continued to change until it finally turned blue, signaling level six. The crowd erupted in cheers.

"Oh wow, another level-six genius!"

"This year, our Tiger clan has measured two with level-six bloodline purities, plus the... the half one from earlier, making it two and a half. Can any other clan in the Empire compete with us?"

"Ha, I knew it! How could the admiral’s favorite cub be ordinary?"

Once the color turned blue, everyone in the Tiger clan instinctively felt it wouldn’t change again.

During the long wait, the crowd, including those from other planets, learned that Arix and Drexel were from the Alliance. The fact that the siblings, who weren’t even from the Empire, had Tiger clan blood was already astonishing enough.

Krylak and the elders exchanged satisfied smiles. As everyone assumed the bloodline test was over, Krylak prepared to announce Arix’s test results.

"Arix, your bloodline purity level is..." Krylak was halfway through his announcement when the blue light on the emblem suddenly turned into a dazzling purple.

Krylak’s words got stuck in his throat, and his eyes almost bulged out in shock. The rest of the Tiger clan stared at the statue, stunned like ducks being strangled.

The emblem’s light had turned purple, meaning Arix’s a level seven!

Everyone in the Holy Temple rubbed their eyes in unison, carefully observing the emblem for a moment.

Once they were sure they weren’t mistaken, their first reaction wasn’t joy or laughter. Instead, they began to weep.

"It’s been a hundred years. Our clan finally has a pureblood cub. She’s going to be a Celesterror Queen."

"Finally, we won’t be looked down upon by those jerks anymore."

"Yes! Let’s see those jerks try to show off in front of us now. They’ve devolved from dragons to almost snakes and lizards, and they still have the audacity to call themselves the Dragons. Even their pureblood is just a hydra."

The Tiger clan members, recalling the discrimination they had faced over the years, held each other and cried.

Therian clans in the Empire competed with each other on almost all occasions. For any clan, if they don’t have a pureblood among their cubs, they would be despised. Although the Tiger clan is one of the major families in the Empire, they were no exception of that.

The Tiger clan had gone a whole century without a pureblood, and the bitterness they endured was beyond words.

Arix was just as surprised as everyone else that her bloodline purity level turned out to be seven.

"Sophia, did the statue make a mistake? How can I have level seven bloodline purity?" Arix asked, holding her chin with her paws, equally stunned.

She thought she was from the Alliance, so how could she become a pureblood therian? "Does this mean I’m no longer human?"

"Although it’s unexpected, the fact is right in front of us. From now on, you’re not a human anymore," Sophia said with a smirk, clearly enjoying Arix’s confusion.

Hearing that, Arix had mixed feelings. ’If I go back to the Alliance now, will I live in a house or a zoo? But, I mean... Tigers are a protected species, right? I’ll be living a very comfortable life in the zoo, without having to work.’

Come to think of it, being a tiger seemed better than being a human.

While Arix was lost in thought, Krylak, having snapped out of his shock, excitedly lifted her up.

He announced to the Tiger clan below, "Arix, with level-seven bloodline purity, is our generation’s pureblood cub!"

"Whoa!"

"Awesome!"

"Awoooo!"

The tigermen below the platform erupted in joy, some even transforming into their beast forms and roaring happily at the sky.

Held aloft by Krylak, Arix stared at the excited crowd, blinking as she thought. ’Maybe staying a tiger wouldn’t be so bad after all...’
