Chapter 906 - 906: The Last Mission: Her Daughter

Day Ninety-Six…

After talking to Nathan, Chantha relayed his message to other branch leaders. She called her twin sister, Violet.

"Sis! Supreme Leader is furious. They were attacked last night. There were so many casualties on their end. And now, Phantomflake has been missing."

"WHAT?" Violet was shocked beyond belief after hearing her sister's words.

"Supreme Leader is very disappointed about our course of action. We should have informed him about the incident yesterday. We will get punished after this. But for now, he is summoning everyone. Go there and help the Sawada Clan in searching for Jane." Chantha relayed the message with urgency.

Spider and Joker also listened to their conversation since Violet had put the phone in loudspeaker mode.

"Okay, Sis. We got it. Any update regarding Axel's condition?" Violet asked her worriedly.

Chantha's expression turned sullen at the mention of Axel's name. His condition was still under observation.

"He is still in the ICU. Let's hope for his fast recovery," Chantha softly said, her voice laced with genuine concern.

"Don't worry, Sis. Axel will be able to survive this." Violet consoled her. "By the way, speaking of Axel's case, we've discovered who the traitor is. Someone tipped off our enemy. Sad to say, the traitor is Doctor Veronica. Monica's sister."

Chantha narrowed her eyes upon hearing that. Her grip on her phone tightened as she clenched her teeth.

"Leave this to me, Sister. I'll deal with her. You and the other should fly now using our Supreme Leader's private plane. He will be waiting for you there." Chantha's tone was resolute. She vowed to punish the person who was responsible for Axel's team ambush incident.

"Okay, Sis. We will instruct our members to prepare. We will depart right away." After saying that, Violet ended the phone call.

Chantha stopped by the ICU and watched Axel through the glass wall. "Get well soon, Axel. I promise… I'll treat you better. I won't argue with you. I won't provoke you anymore. Just recover and wake up soon. Please."

Chantha pressed her palm on the glass wall as if she was trying to caress Axel's face. With a strong conviction in mind, she left the hospital to confront the traitor, Dr. Veronica.

Twenty-five minutes later…

At Syphiruz Medical Facility, Veronica kept checking her phone. Marco hadn't contacted her since the successful mission yesterday. She had heard the news that Axel's team had been annihilated, and because of that, she felt guilty about what had happened.

However, deep inside, she hoped Nathan had heard the incident so that he would be compelled to back to Country M as soon as possible. She hated the fact that Nathan was together with Jane.

Veronica was about to call Marco when, suddenly, the door to her office was flung open. Chantha stormed in with a venomous look in her eyes.

Before Veronica could react, Chantha swung her fist, punching the doctor's face.

Thud!

Veronica fell back at the impact. She was stunned and at the same time, mad.

"Chantha! What is the meaning of this? How dare you lay a hand on me?!" Veronica snarled at her, rubbing her cheek that was hit by Chantha's punch.

Chantha smirked slyly as she grabbed Veronica by her collar. "Don't feign ignorance, Bitch! You were the one who tipped off the enemy about Axel's movement yesterday! We lost so many men and Axel is still in danger!"

"You Fucking Traitor!" Chantha slapped her again.

"Stop! Somebody, please help!" Veronica screamed, asking for help. She knew she couldn't match Chantha's strength. She's a branch leader of the Syphiruz Mafia.

"Heh! Scream all you want, but no one will help you! I dismiss everyone. And we are the only people here in this facility right now."

After saying those words, Chantha continued her restless assault on Veronica. She was taking out her anger on her. She also started interrogating her.

Unable to endure the striking pain of Chantha's heavy fist, Veronica started to talk, revealing everything about her conversation with Vincent and the deal she had with him.

Chantha learned that Vincent contacted Veronica through a person named Marco. And they started to devise a plan for rescuing Monica. Veronica was aware that her patient was her real sister, Monica, who underwent plastic surgery to change her face.

"Once Axel wakes up, you should go and ask forgiveness. I won't let you go, Veronica. I will inform our Supreme Leader about this. Prepare for a much harsher punishment."

"No! No! Please, Chantha! Don't tell Nathan. I regret everything. This won't happen again. Nathan will hate me once he finds out. Please, don't tell him," Veronica pleaded, kneeling in front of Chantha.

Chantha looked at her indifferently before pushing her aside. Ignoring her plea, she said, "This is the consequence of your actions. Take responsibility for it."

Meanwhile…

Back to Vincent's hideout…

Vincent was still waiting for Jane's response.

"I'll give you ten hours to decide, Jane. Don't make me wait for too long. I am serious. I won't spare Nathan's life. You know the fact that you've become his weakness. I can easily kill him now by using you." Vincent continued to threaten Jane.

"Yes. I know. You are capable of killing Nathan. But there is something I want to know. What do you mean when you said our daughter? I don't have a daughter. Ethan is my only son. And there is no way she is Ethan's twin sister." Jane started to inquire about Mia. Even in this timeframe, Vincent was still insisting that Mia was their daughter.

Vincent picked up his phone and showed Mia's picture. Mia was still so young in the photo.

'I knew it. Vincent is referring to Mia.' Jane thought to herself as her eyes scanned Mia's photo on Vincent's phone screen.

"That's our daughter. Believe it or not. Mia is your own blood." Vincent said meaningfully.

Jane felt a little bit confused. "How could that be possible? I only got pregnant once!"

Vincent looked straight into her eyes and explained, "It's simple. Using our modern technology. In Vitro Fertilization."

Jane was dumbfounded upon hearing that.

"There was a moment when you were hospitalized after you tried committing suicide. It happened before Stephen erased your memory. I paid the hospital to retrieve your eggs from your ovary and fertilize it with my sperm in a laboratory."

"Then I also paid a woman to whom we implanted the resulting embryo into her uterus. That's how Mia was conceived. So in other words, Mia is our daughter. Mia is a year younger than Ethan."

'So Mia is indeed my daughter...' She had mixed emotions about this.

Jane didn't know how she would react upon this revelation. She didn't expect that Vincent's obsession with her was at this level. After stealing her son, he retrieved her eggs without her consent. Vincent was so twisted.

'If I won't stop him, I don't know what he would do to Nathan and Ethan. I have to find a way to end this.' Jane thought to herself, trying to figure out how she would deal with Vincent and outsmart him with his own game.

'I have to protect Ethan and Nathan from this guy. He is crazy. He and Monica are both crazy!'

"Fine, Vincent. I understand everything now. I want to meet Mia. So… I agree with your proposal. I will come with you… but under certain conditions…"
