Sequels are meant to enhance the story and bring forth more life into the characters and world. Unfortunately, that's something the hyped up sequel of LoTM didn't achieve. I was surprised, I really was, I didn't know it was possible to make the sequel for this novel even worse than the prequel, it's baffling. If I were to give ratings for both books, it'd be a 1.5/10 and a 1/10 almost the lowest of the low. Why you may ask? I came tio this novel with relatively low expectations, but it shattered them completely. First of all, Lumian has to be the worst main character in fiction, on par with the disappointing opening arc of the first book, and that's saying something. Secondly, cuttlefish's worldbuilding is even worse than the prequel which is quite the shocker. And finally... the ending. It was just a mess, it felt even more rushed than that one novel with the suicidal swordsman from another world and I know others would agree with me on this.
I don't know if i misunderstood but the reason adam wants lumian to switch between demoness and hunter is because that is the right way to become a above the sequence of demoness and hunter pathway? My reading comprehension is sadly cooked
1/10 ragebait
