How would someone like a sleeper know how to become Supreme? The Sovereigns themselves didn't know it was possible to awaken without the Spell no one did that's why it was unknown not because it had been kept a secret and there's really no need for Kai to Agree to killing Casssie he just needs to confirm that you have a guaranteed way to awaken so Gunlaug would believe you he wouldn't mind killing Cassie for that knowledge its a very low price to pay for salvation

The puzzle has been cracked, It was so simple really, thank you Supreme Angel, my fellow Cassie Hater, for helping me see the way.
Here's the plan, upon arriving at Bright Castle, beeline it straight to Kai and befriend him (accounting for his personality this should be fairly simple.) Afterwards, drag him along with you to see Gunlaug, here you'll strike a deal with him selling the info on natural awakening (Kai was brought so he can verify your claim) in exchange for immediatly sending a death squad after Cassie. This can be done in possibly just a few days, so even knowing the future Cassie wouldn't be able to formulate a plan to respond in time effectively. Essentially "speedblitzing" her. Cassie is killed, we win. Now just simply manipulate Gunlaug into using his newly formed Awakened army to escape the Forgotten Shore. Then you can live comfortably until the world is consumed by the Dream god.

Above the gray fog stood a majestic divine hall, resembling the dwelling of a giant.
At the center of the hall stood an ancient bronze table, with ten chairs symmetrically arranged on either side. At the seat of honor sat a black-haired man whose facial features were obscured by the gray mist. Anyone who had read Lotm would instantly recognize him as Mr. Fool—or Klein.
As Klein fiddled with the monocle in his hand, he suddenly sensed that his honorific name had been invoked. Instantly, he turned his gaze toward the person who had called him.
There, he saw a silver-haired man with purple hues attempting to strangle a black-haired, golden-eyed man. Klein narrowed his eyes, trying to grasp what was happening, and in a fraction of a second, he understood everything. It was as if time and space themselves whispered the truth to him.
Then, with a single tap of his finger on the ancient bronze table, Klein made the purple-silver-haired man vanish from existence.
