I know right. But be careful because the Young Masters might come and swarm you and call you an NPC and tell you that you got bad reading comprehension.
I wanted to try it so many times but held myself back every time for some reason

Have you tried Renegade Immortal? Mc isn't as ruthless as Fang Yuan, and he can be nice to people who are nice to him, but he certainly isn't compassionate.
Just leave him be. He's either rage baiting or he has trash taste

Bonny
Honestly, Reverend Insanity is a preferential read. Your opinion is valid, sure but it comes off pretty surface-level. Yes, the MC has flaws. That’s the point. He’s shaped by a brutal world where weakness gets you killed. In that kind of setting, survival isn’t about morals—it’s about strategy, control, and never hesitating. Some of his actions are undeniably cruel and go against traditional values but this story was never about playing hero or chasing redemption arcs. It’s not your typical plot armor-fueled, power-of-friendship fantasy. It’s calculated, ruthless, and grounded in its own harsh logic. This novel isn’t meant for everyone. You either get it, or you don’t. There’s no middle ground. Calling it “psychopath fiction” honestly just shows a shallow take on something far more complex. The philosophical depth, the exploration of ambition, consequence, and survival it’s all intentional. And let’s be real Nyshoku and Reverend aren't even in the same genre, so it's a pretty dumn
I just can't seem to understand anyone who 'glazes' or even likes this novel. It's the ramblings of a psychopath pretending he's not one. "I'm not evil, I just see everyone as equal". You have all these analysts going in and saying how this novel talks about the complexity of the human psyche, but that just isnt the case. It's a novel by psychopaths, for psychopaths, and if you actually enjoyed this, you might want to get checked at a mental facility. Dont waste your time reading something like this edgelord slop, and instead read something better like mushoku tensei whos world building and characterisation trumps everything
I’ve heard people say Reverend Insanity isn’t peak fiction, and that fans are just edgy. And that Fang Yuan is like a mass murderer—so how could anyone like him? But here’s the thing: I don’t like RI just because it’s “peak fiction” (though I think it is). I love it because it's the closest fiction to reality. The world-building, the characters, even the minor ones, are all so believable. The author portrays the dark side of life in a way that hits hard. People call it edgy because they can’t handle that honesty. Just because Fang Yuan isn’t a typical goody-two-shoes hero doesn’t mean he’s a bad character. He’s logical, ruthless, and consistent—qualities that make him feel grounded in reality. You don’t have to like Reverend Insanity, that’s fine. But don’t judge those of us who do. We’re not judging you for liking idealistic stories. Respect goes both ways. Don’t dismiss something just because it breaks the mold. Not every great story is meant to be comforting.
Kids will be kids I guess

I have read this enough to know that it's not that good
And it is good
Obviously you haven't read it You just know the name and thought it is the same s*it as the other cope and paste of The author pov.
I'd suggest you read a couple of chapters
why is it garbage? tbh novels with these premisses can be good but are often not written very well.
