As a second-time reader, I feel the plot is quite forced.
The author must have tried to make Lucas be Arthur's archenemy by creating this plot, but many things didn't make sense.
1. All the adventurers fight for benefit. What would they get from this dungeon raid? Nothing!
2. Suddenly the fragile healer Oliver walked out of the group, then walked in the front in the no-man land, while he already knew there was a very big worm underneath, then he died.
3. The group leader has already lost one arm, but he kept going. What for?
OK! Just the beginning, this group lost the only healer, the leader became a cripple. There were many signs showed up all the way, but they insisted to go. What for?
After Kriold was lured to death, they should run away, but they didn't.
This whole plot was just created to make Lucas be Arthur's arch enemy, and Arthur showed his second form. 😑
