Started off like a typical OP system cultivation novel fast progression, dumb fun, and click-to-level. But then it takes a nosedive into full-blown incest. The MC literally ends up marrying his biological sister, and the novel treats it like a romantic achievement. No buildup, no irony just straight-up wish-fulfillment trash with zero awareness. Shallow characters, no tension, and now morally messed up too.
Are sure you read this novel to be comparing this Mc to Itadori because they don't even have one single similarity.

The novel was good but like so many novel it involved too many. Mulitversal s*it, most novels today are following China story writing i'm not com planning its too long or anything thing its just that the author did not structure the novel power systems and powerbuiliding well enough and just gave many chapters
The MC like many other MCs is like an half baked version of Itadori in JJK
I already poisoned test this. the Mc his worse than a dense Mc you can try your luck on this one but won't recommend this novel to a veteran maybe only to a newbie.
Chen Qi isn’t your typical overpowered MC—his strength lies in perception, fear, and cosmic misunderstanding. Mistaken for an eldritch god due to a passive trait called “Deep Sea Affinity,” he unknowingly builds a cult-like following of witches, monsters, and sea dragons. Though he starts weak, his reputation alone terrifies even top-tier beings. Over time, he mutates, gains true power, and gradually becomes what others already believe him to be: a divine force from the deep. His power is a blend of passive intimidation, monstrous evolution, and faction strength, making him one of the most uniquely powerful protagonists in the genre. If you have read Lotm, just think of him as Klein Morreti, that type of Mc.

Dropped hard. Avoid.
This is Good junk food. Not nutritious, but easy to binge.
Recommended for: Cultivation enjoyers, realm-hoppers, and fans of overpowered protagonists.
Not recommended for: People seeking deep lore, real drama, or character complexity.
This novel is better than the Manhua version.
