Have you ever or read or seen a piece of literature and went: " wow the characters are all dumb for falling for that" or " the mc appears smart but that's because everyone else is brain dead." ?

Well not in here.

All of the characters are smarter than you, even the ones who are not geniuses still have common sense and in fact making them brilliant will not be consistent with their character.

Have a theory about the current circumstances?

The mc has dozens.

Think that there's a conspiracy brewing in the background?

Wrong, it's at least fifteen levels of mysteries on top of each other.

That's just a single aspect of the novel.

The mc is (in my opinion) one of the best in all fiction, Because he's simple.

He's realistic.

He likes money but is still aware of it's actual value and will spend it ( with a bleeding heart) on what he believes matter.

He loves of women but still respects them.

He is a man of justice but he's not delusional.

He will kill those who believes are monsters without flinching and still be kind to those who deserve it.

His goals appears simple, but at the core everyone goals are in fact simple.

This grounds him into a realistic standard.

There is also the world building, the power system, the emotional stakes and the novel descriptions.

Unfortunately I have  been yapping for too long in this review.

It's an amazing story filled with mystery, fantasy, secrets and madness. The world is rich with lore spanning an immense story, every plot line ties up, eventually leading to an amazing ending. None of the characters are really irritating or basic, and the antagonists are horrifying, there is no good or evil, only madness.

First book that ever made me stay up super late at night. I would go to bed and dream about it. Insane world building and plot. Slow start but once it picks up you're going to be hooked

LoTM is not as good as other people think!

As a avid reader and fan of the franchise, I can highlight several points that some people (including myself) may consider as disadvantages compared to the book.

Slow pace: the book has a slow pace, with a plot progression that may seem dragging. This can result in moments where the story feels stagnant, which demotivates some readers who prefer a more fast-paced and dynamic narrative. Some readers may find that the plot develops slowly, with many details and subplots that may seem unnecessary. This can make the reading slow and tiresome for some

Another criticism is the lack of character development. I personally felt that the main characters are not as well-developed as I would like, and other readers may have the same factual perception of this, which can make it difficult to emotionally connect with the story.

Stereotyped characters: yes, the characters in LOTM are stereotyped and lack significant emotional depth. And this can make it difficult for readers to empathize and emotionally engage with the protagonists.

In the waves of steam and machinery, who could achieve extraordinary? In the fogs of history and darkness, who was whispering? I woke up from the realm of mysteries and opened my eyes to the world.

Firearms, cannons, battleships, airships, and difference machines. Potions, divination, curses, hanged-man, and sealed artifacts… The lights shone brightly, yet the secrets of the world were never far away. This was a legend of the “Fool”.

By far the best story progession, world building, character building, mystery, horror, emotions from a story I can ever ask. If god wrote a story, this would be it. Do mind the pacing though as it's slow and I've seen many drop because of that or ask "when does it get good?". Try reading the first volume (220 ish chapters) and then ask yourself if you want to continue or not. Action starts at around 100 too, before that is just world building, letting you get to understand the world, characters and story. NO ROMANCE THOUGH, but do enjoy creating the character ships afterall the world needs justice ;) PRAISE THE FOOL
